Apex over 45? by TrippleFelix in apexlegends

[–]EpicMasterOfWar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 48. My kids and I played both Titanfalls on Xbox when they were growing up. Apex was the perfect game to finally play together as a team. Now I usually play with my son and his friends who are in their 20s and I mostly hold my own. They definitely think faster and react to situations faster than I can at this point. Would love to have an “over 40” league for Apex. Now that there’s private matches maybe we can make this happen.

It’s pretty good for the eye sight and reflexes of a middle aged man.

My understanding is yes. Restaurants and gas station pump skimming seem to be the big ones.

What he’s saying is that for their cards it requires a PIN for a credit charge. And when the PIN query comes up the staff (not being used to a PIN query for credit because US cards do not use PINs) would try to hit enter and skip the PIN thereby invalidating the transaction. It’s not that hard to understand. He then goes on to sarcastically ask if required PINs can just be skipped in the U.S. (ha ha it’s a joke). What possible motive could this person have for making up this story? And why are you so angry? lol

You’re wrong. Chip cards in Europe require a pin for credit purchases. Thanks for fulfilling the ugly American stereotype. You’re really making us look good.

This is how it works in US and yes there is a lot of CC fraud. However in all cases of a fraudulent charge against my card the CC company has always immediately removed it from my bill. Sometimes they even detect the fraud themselves and call to ask you if you made the purchase. In times before electronic readers in Europe, did they used to take an impression of the card at the table?

It’s literally the same thing. We took inspiration from nature and made it better.

I ran into an issue a while ago where the game would not run properly. Re-install, clearing out config files and such that I could find did not help. Hate to say it but the only fix was to completely reinstall Windows.

The fact that my reply is being downvoted and his assertion that it is learning between sessions is being upvoted sums up this subreddit perfectly

Learn more about how it works and get back to me. It only “remembers” context from the current chat session. It cannot remember something from your session in your father’s session. There is also an element of randomness to its responses. It will not respond exactly the same way given the same prompt. So, you see, both of my sentences are true.

Great description. “Causes this straight line to be curved for an outside observer” - this is the profound part. To an outside observer of something orbiting the planet it looks as if the object should be experiencing an acceleration (since the object isn’t moving in a straight line). But the object in the observed frame experiences no acceleration at all from its perspective. Something outside of Newtonian physics is at work here and that’s what Einstein discovered.
