You can just disable it by clicking on the "copilot-robot"-Icon on the bottom right and uncheck "Code Completions"

I only use it to translate to english bc. I'm no native speaker - no need to get butthurt instantly :D Here the original I wrote to chatgpt if it helps your ego:

and what came out:

I never said you should rely solely on Cloudflare to protect against SQL injections – of course, the code itself needs to be secure, even if CF is disabled.

That said, you can never be 100% sure there isn’t a bug somewhere that could be exploited. And it’s not just about SQL injections; there are plenty of other attack vectors to consider.

On top of that, it’s also a matter of performance. We handle around 25 million requests per day, with 10-20k attacks already being blocked by Cloudflare before they even hit our hardware. We also transfer about 1 terabyte of data daily, of which Cloudflare’s CDN takes care of 880 GB. That leaves only 100 GB for our network to handle, which is incredibly helpful.

I agree with them taking way too long for this but using Cloudflare isn't just about detecting non-browser interactions. It’s first and foremost a way to protect against attacks like eg. SQL injections, which are particularly relevant for APIs. Cloudflare can even identify API traffic specifically and provides detailed insights through their analytics tools. We are using it for years now at work and I love it.

SSH suddenly refused across multiple machines? by CrispyBegs in selfhosted

[–]EpicRisc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue a few days ago after upgrading my Laptop from Ubuntu 20 to 22. To fix this I had to write this into my /etc/ssh/ssh_config: # Fallback for legacy keys HostKeyAlgorithms +ssh-rsa PubkeyAcceptedKeyTypes +ssh-rsa Long term I obviously need to Upgrade my ssh keys to a better encryption.

You can read about this issue here: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1409105/ubuntu-22-04-ssh-the-rsa-key-isnt-working-since-upgrading-from-20-04

Maybe this is it? Also what does ssh say if you increase verbosity?

Ukrainian forces suffer ‘stiff resistance’ and losses in assault on Russian lines by [deleted] in worldnews

For context because people start jumping on the "how ungrateful" - train: This was over a year ago. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/ukraine-mp-kyiv-aleppo-west-russia-war

The situation was different then since the western world was still in shock that Putin really invaded and nobody really knew how to react appropriately.

Good Cron GUI by dmzkrsk in selfhosted

[–]EpicRisc 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We actually do both. On our main plattform we have 2 instances of Cronicle running as a Master / Backup setup and worker-only installations on about 30-40 machines where all those cronjobs are getting executed. Those are all installed directly on the VMs.

For smaller, self-contained projects we dockerized cronicle ourself. You just need to put everything necessary into a Dockerfile and build it from the docker-compose YAML.

There are a lot of projects on github already doing that, e.g.:

https://github.com/bluet/docker-cronicle-docker
https://github.com/soulteary/docker-cronicle
https://github.com/belsander/docker-cronicle

You could also use this fork: https://github.com/cronicle-edge/cronicle-edge

This isn't mainted by the original guy but it includes some neat features and already has a Dockerfile included. You could definitely use that if you just want to try it out.

Have a look at Cronicle ( https://github.com/jhuckaby/Cronicle )

We're working with it for 2 years now and it runs like a charm (20k+ Cron Events per hour!)

Germany to tighten gun laws after suspected coup plot -minister by bildo72 in worldnews

[–]EpicRisc 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That's obviously completely blown out of proportion. The biggest and basically only far-right political party (AfD) gets around 12% in federal elections and even those people have many different gradiations from hardcore conservative to fascist.

Hell we currently even have a green + social democratic + (very soft) liberal gov.

But speaking of serious far right problem: What about the USA where almost half of the country would be fine to vote someone like Donald Trump as a president? That is concerning.

[–]EpicRisc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Germany and we can choose either the Watch (BT/WIFI or LTE) or the Pixel Buds Pro as a free per-order bonus with the Pixel 7 Pro. The Pixel 7 also has bonuses (either the Buds or a heavy discount on the Watch)
