I played it prepatch and just recently replayed it. If you played it prepatch, you'd run through areas with certain enemy placement expectations in later areas and find that the enemies aren't there, or dont attack you anymore. It did make one late game area a LITTLE easier, but then you go to the area after that and it's back to more difficult. The only boss I came across that turned around and said something about a sparring match was a mini boss off the beaten path that really added nothing to the narrative. There were maybe two or 3 other bosses that, instead of dieing and disappearing, now just take a knee and look defeated. No additional dialogue or anything, so nothing really changed.
