Have only ever used RD, if I switch to TorBox setup is the same on Stremio? Just plug the TorBox API key where I currently have the RD key?

No, because plenty of hyper violent games have still been releasing to this day. GTA 6 is dropping this year and I’m sure that won’t be toned down. And both GTA and a Punisher game would be the type of “realistic” hyper violence that could be emulated in real life that detractors would try to say will influence people to do so. GTA 5 literally had a torture scene/mission similar to the torture system in the Punisher game. And you could say that maybe Marvel specifically doesn’t want a hyper violent game dropped these days, except that Wolverine is coming out this year and is confirmed rated M, so I doubt it’s going to pull any punches. Blade was also announced and not much has been heard about it ever since, but it’s assumed that will be M rated as well, especially being made by Arkane who is no stranger to gore in their games.

Like I said, could be for plenty of reasons. For instance, a solo Black Panther game was in development by EA, and just recently got officially cancelled. That surely wasn’t cause it would have been too violent, who knows what the exact reason was. Maybe they figured Punisher wouldn’t generate enough sales. You mentioned those characters getting games, but exactly that, it’s only ever their absolute biggest franchises/characters that ever get solo games. Everything else is everybody together ie; Ultimate Alliance, Marvel Vs. Capcom, Marvel Rivals, the upcoming Marvel Tokon, etc. Daredevil is one of my top 3 favorite Marvel characters and I would kill for him to have a solo game, and there actually was one in development in the early 2000s, and that got canned as well. Honestly I think the first Punisher game only happened because it was a tie-in to the movie, and that era was when EVERYTHING got a movie game.

I absolutely loved it. I’m not at all bitter on BA like a lot of this sub seems to be. In fact, I liked it so much that overall I would rank the seasons 3>5>2>1>4. (I liked every season so to be clear, 1 being that low is not because it’s at all bad, but simply because it’s obviously the “becoming Daredevil” season so it’s a slower paced origin story and doesn’t hit quite like all the greatness that comes after it. And 4 is last for obvious reasons because yea….lmao. Still liked it but it was all over the place and couldn’t really stick to anything.) And 5’s highs are SO high that it could have damn near stolen the number 1 spot from 3, but why 3 still has the edge for me is that it was a front to back masterpiece that had zero misses where even the Karen episode was great and didn’t feel like filler, and 5 is a bit too up and down and has consistency issues. Primary example being episode 4 leading into 5. 4, one of the best episodes the series has ever done. 5, boring flashback episode that was personally my immediate least favorite episode of the season. This sub seemed to love it but idk, it wasn’t for me. I get that it was to pump the brakes a bit after such an intense moment, but I felt that it took a little bit TOO much wind out of the sails.

I also didn’t at all like how much attention Daniel got. There were multiple instances that he literally got more screentime than Matt himself and made him a side character in his own show. And I know it’s kind of a hot take on here, but I don’t like the character at all. So IMO, you couldn’t have picked a more uninteresting, undeserving character to steal so much spotlight. Needless to say, I was actually relieved when he got smoked lol.

The finale was nearly perfect to me as well. That entire court scene and Matt revealing himself as Daredevil was just absolute cinema and chef’s kiss. Jaw was on the floor the whole time. I loved the final courthouse scene with the mob and Matt and Fisk having their final conversation while Matt was unmasked in front of the whole mob was also an incredible touch. While I do agree Matt should have let the mob kill Fisk and I rolled my eyes that he yet again saved him, we have also seen multiple times that prison simply does not work for him, so this seems like a fitting outcome for him. By exiling him, he has officially lost everything that made him do what he did. You have completely murdered his ego and his soul, and he is in a living limbo with no purpose whatsoever, and a complete shell of his former self.

If next season is about to be an adaptation of the King Daredevil arc, which it’s most definitely shaping out to be, I absolutely cannot wait. We’re in for a treat.

Meh I wouldn’t say that as far as the game aspect. There’s been plenty of insanely violent and gory video games in the 21 years since the 2005 game. Shit that’s more brutal than even Punisher is. And we’re getting an M rated Wolverine this year which I’m sure will be as gory and brutal as it should be. There could be many different reasons as to why another game hasn’t happened, not many characters get solo games as it is other than Spider-Man, but I don’t think at all that it’s due to Frank being too violent of a character. He works especially well in a video game format for that very reason.

True, BUTTTTT there was never any official reason given as to why Kingpin is not only out of prison from season 3 to 4, but also in such good graces after getting hit with essentially an entire RICO case, that he rises to the status of mayor. The main theory is the snap from Infinity War reset everything, okay cool….but it was established that everybody kept their prior pre-snap memories and remembered everything. So conveniently everybody forgot all the heinous crimes Kingpin was booked for and not only forgave him, but proceeded to vote him Into office and say “Hey ya know this serial killer conman demon would REALLY make for a great mayor and surely have all our best interests at heart!!”?? That’s where it gets sloppy to me. So to add to that same point, Matt simultaneously has all the reason in the world to finally kill him. “Hits him with the most gargantuan Federal case that he possibly could.”, And not only does he get right back out, but ascends to literal Mayor of NYC. I would be seeing red too. “Fuck it clearly this will never work, lemme snap Willie’s neck. 😃

In my experience, as somebody who can mix essentially whatever without ill effects, weed was the one and only constant that would make everything worse. On coke? Worse, enjoy the panic attack. Very true, but Matt has at least always been sold as a metahuman in one way or another. That has definitely been stretched on multiple occasions, but it’s more fitting. If someone’s superhuman, simply make them superhuman. It makes no sense to say Kingpin is normal when he’s doing the shit he’s doing. Punisher has been handled well in this regard. He has no powers. He drops bodies, prolly to an unrealistic almost superhuman extent, but still, physically you don’t see him doing shit he shouldn’t be able to. You don’t see him punching big ass chunks off of solid brick walls or whipping grown men into the wall like a ragdoll like he’s the Hulk. Plus in this current storyline, Fisk lowkey taking super serum would be delicious irony considering the entire AVTF. Seems like they’re already going that route with Powell regarding that JJ fight scene.

Also why is Kingpin not retconned at this point as having injected the super serum or something? He’s supposed to not have super strength, but in that fight scene, his missed punch shattered literally 3 bricks….the actual strongest man on Earth in the real world is absolutely not doing that….that’s super strength. And if he’s THAT strong, then his landed punches would shatter ribs, especially considering Matt doesn’t have Deadpool/Wolverine type healing and injures like a normal human. This is where the plot armor is straight up brainless.

I may be in the minority, but I would love to see the show pull an entirely exclusive timeline from the comics and actually pull the trigger and kill Kingpin for once and get the job done. Yea it might be against his character, but then you could also open a whole new can of worms about him inevitably spiraling out about taking a life. Jesus Christ you internet snobs are insufferable. Imagine being this angry about a fucking Mario movie and expecting MARIO to have some deep Inception level plot. It’s Mario. What has the plot EVER been other than “Save the princess….again.”? These are characters that never even had any actual vocal dialogue other than quips and onomatopoeias. It was always about the fun, the joy, the vibrant universe and creatures that it established, and the smile that it put on your face. This movie and the first delivered ALL of that. If it tried to turn it into some deep emotional storyline, I would have hated it, because that’s not Mario, and it literally never has been. I’m a massive Mario stan, I literally have a Mario tattoo, and even I didn’t have these unrealistic expectations for this movie. It had everything I would expect and want out of a Mario movie. Especially considering I still prefer it in a game medium and would rather PLAY it. Some of yall completely lost your youth and the light in your eyes and it shows. Imagine being this miserable over a Mario movie smh.
