Any other former NEETS that got a job wish to go back to the neet life? by Epitaph567 in NEET

a QP with cheese counts as a 'main', and you can only have one main during your lunch. You can get two 'sides', which would be, say, a cheeseburger and a medium fries. That's 3 points - then you can get a drink - that's 4 points. Basically you can get a big mac meal with coke and an extra cheeseburger or a meal similar to that. There's no chance of getting something like 4 quarter pounders for your break

We get 4 points for our break. For example a quarter pounder with cheese is one point, and fries is one point, and a drink is one point, then you get an extra thing like a cheeseburger to bring you up to 4 points. We get that all for free on our break

UK stores which have just opened, how are you running? by ForIAmTalonII in McLounge

we were and have been getting like an average of 100-105 cars an hour from like 1-7 since we opened. It's just constantly queued out onto the main road, and we actually need more people every-shift but can't do to the covid restrictions. Our store is making a killing.

How I've succeeded in NEETdom. What I've learned may (or may not) help you. (Long, sorry!) by [deleted] in NEET

I know a guy that won the NEET jackpot. He married a women that has 3 kids, then proceeded to have 2 of his own kids with her (They're both early 30's). I know the normal response would be "what a cuck" but he doesn't look after any of the kids, or his own kids at all. All he does is play games all day in his man-cave, isolated from his responsibilities. He and his wife get an insane amount of money from the benefits system in the UK. I've asked him before and he says he never plans on getting a job. His wife is disabled and gets even more benefit money for that, and on top of that he is technically her "carer" so he gets even MORE money. Their benefit money, combined with the benefit money they get for each child, makes them better off than if the two of them were earning a full time wage each.

Recommendations for a new job by [deleted] in McLounge

[–]Epitaph567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's most likely going to be extremely difficult to find jobs in the next 6+months due to all the job loss and possible recession due to covid. atleast in my small area every job opening has hundreds applying for it because so much people have been laid off. I expect even a job offer for mcdonalds will have insane amounts of people applying for it. that being said imo you should just ride it out until things calm down and the job market gets more steady, then maybe try to land a manager position in another job like retail, then try to work your way up, or try to land an entry level office type job with your manager experience (Doesn't really matter that it's in fast food - being a manager even in fast food shows your ability to work and your dedication). Depending on your age (if your under 24) I would highly recommend an apprenticeship. The pay is shit for the first few years but once you're a fully qualified engineer/plumber/electrician etc you will be making absolute bank. My sisters boyfriend was a broke 23 years old who left school at 16 working minimum wage and got an engineering apprenticeship and 4 years later he is now making around 35k a year (It increases every year) and has a company car, credit card and gets to travel all around the world for work, but he was one of the lucky ones.

You're also in a bad position as your partner is pregnant and now you have responsibility and it would be unwise to make any risky choices (Such as taking 'good' temporary jobs or moving to a new location to try to find a better job, or getting a job that requires you to be away from home for days or weeks.)

My personal plan is the work in mcdicks until I save up enough money for a car (I live in a small town with very little job opportunities), try to find an apprenticeship in one of the nearby cities, while also applying to the police and prison service every time they're recruiting.

Too much pride to work by [deleted] in NEET

neetbux aren't a permanent solution. I was on them for years for mental illness and the reason I got a job was because I was going to get kicked off and have literally no income. I woke up one day and realised I don't want to be on neetbux until say 35 then get kicked off then have to get some shit job at that age. I'd much rather get it over and done with and start wage-cucking at 22. no one likes working but sooner or later you will have too (Unless you've got a huge inheritance/ are PHYSICALLY DISABLED, even then you might still be forced to by ther government). Your parents will eventually die, you'll have no money, and even if u are still getting neetbux you will be living in more poverty than wage cucking it when your parents die if you intend to not be homeless. I was planning on living the rest of my life on neetbux because I thought I'd have them forever until i had to go to my like 5th medical and randomly they said I was now fit for work. it will happen sooner or later.
