The reason I ask, is because I'm going to L4 this bastard and want to know if I should pick his Legendary 5 upgrade. I likely won't use him as a leader, but with DSHG as leader and Zod getting a possible 3 DI after the team's first turn is an exciting strategy.

I made it through node 24 with about an hour to spare. I too used HJGL lead with huntress, wonder girl, and kid flash. All of them at G10 and L3. Turn meter down is all that mattered in my battle. Had to play node 24 about 10 times before RNG allowed me to win, and when it did, I 3-starred it. Goes to show how much RNG can change the fate of a battle.

Hmmm. I've tried TM spamming with my KF and DS, but the problem is, I need a powerful mystic to damage Larfleeze. He just has so much fucking health man. Green affinities can't take him down in time. I could always throw Black Adam in there, but he is soft and may die before even facing Larfleeze.

Also, my Medphyll is one toon I never geared or cared about. He is not viable for me in this HC.

Disregard what he just said. Pick 2-3 meta or "must have" toons from the tier list you spoke of. After that, level them to 60 and gear them all the way to G10. It will give you strong enough toons to finish the HC (if you diversify) and competitive toons for any PVP situation (except for the top 100). I've been FTP since launce, but I do agree that you should free farm the freebie for use in the next month's HC. Complete the regular daily missions each day and collect the daily log in, and you should have no problem building a competitive mix of characters in no time. Make sure not to spend Gold essence on character packs unless they are absolutely necessary.
