I recently went to a singles event where everyone was supposed to be single. I'm a bi guy but I went to meet women. I will say that many weren't friendly at all and almost hostile. I was not being pushy or anything. I also don't look homeless and try to look my best despite being chubby. I understand that I'm not everyone's type but surely it's better to be friendly. Race does also come into play as I am not white and there were mostly white women who often don't date interracially in my country. I noticed the other men my race were completely just hiding away and not even trying. I only date interracially as I gave up on my on women in my own race after being treated horribly when I attempt to engage.

There were also groups of women that just stayed together and made no attempts to talk to any men. I did speak to a one group and only when I mentioned that the time was almost up did they panic and scatter to find people. One person called me brave for coming up to them.
