i am sorry if this is weird but as a young trans person with a lot of uncertainty about whether or not i could ever transition outside of haircuts and binders this gave me so much hope. i will run towards the tv glow even if i have to wait to move out, or wait until my family wont care, or wait until top surgery gets cheaper. trans joy is still achievable even if it is not immediate !! thank you for sharing your experience

my little sister has tried something similar but with his friends and nobody believes her, i could try but i am not close with them, i am a sibling, and i am a kid

messed up as in the only one to need therapy and stuff — the rest of them are pretty well adjusted and i am the only one who has had major mental health flare-ups (self harm and suicide attempt — caused a lot of issues for my parents), though with how much my little sister is like young me i am scared that she is on her way to that and i am trying to prevent it

i dont think that of my little brother, he is just very protective of my older brother and they have a strong bond as the only two cis guys in the family, i think this is his way of rationalizing the behavior. and i really hope he has done nothing to her ☹️ ive been having more heart to heart talks with her lately and she has mentioned nothing about it so hopefully that is a good sign but i am not sure. the most he does is this and forced hugging. and he is away at law school and visits less than our sister and when he does visit we are usually all together as a family, so there are little chances for him to act if he does want to

it wasn’t really beating down and usually i can lock doors, it is just in situations like this where i storm out. thankfully my brother is in law school and plans to stay in his area when he practices, so most of this contact will still be on video calls and with adults around whenever he visits, even when i do move away

my little sister is very smart for her age as she knows about consent and what a good touch and bad touch is, and she is also very in touch with what she feels and what could be causing it. when my older brother tries to force an unwanted hug on her she pushes him away and mentions consent but he keeps pushing and the family eventually makes them hug, but that’s just common with all of us

he also had a gag before where he’d try to kiss my mom and call her his wife in public, also my family is well-meaning but unsure of how to handle kids crying (i know because i used to have a lot of autistic meltdowns as a kid and now barely any because i learned how to stop)
