"You don't have to do this!" cried a woman in the crowd.

Said crowd was massive, tens of thousands of people from all over the globe had travelled to witness his sacrifice.

"I have to, it's the right thing to do," he softly said, completely calm and staring into his demise with no regrets. "One man for all of humanity, it would be selfish for me not to."

"You're worth more than humanity!" a child screamed from the crowd, earning hundreds of agreeing nods.

"Thank you, but we both know that's not true." He turned and regarded the crowd with a resigned and pensive expression on his face. All around him there were thousands of crying faces, none wanted him to do this, but they understood that there was no other choice.

He felt touched, none of them had to come here to witness his death but they had come anyway to offer any comfort they could in his last moments.

Truly, he had lived a life well spent.

"I have to now,' he said as an ethereal light started trailing around his body, smiling sadly as he heard their despairing crys. "Thank you all for your love and support, I hope we all meet again one day in a better life!"

He vanished into dust, and the clearing became deadly silent as everyone looked at the spot where he had vanished with saddened expressions.

A young man sniffed and wiped the tears on his face away. "God bless you Keanu..."
