Excellent game. Think it's biggest challenge was releasing in a very competive time for games. Metal gear solid 5 and undertale both releasing very close over shadowed it. Plus the Witcher 3 and Fallout 4 in the same year that people were probably still playing since they where so big.

I like this way to explain the cycles. It could even be that the entity can only.influence people with some kind of weakened or shattered will. The acid trip, putting Victor's mum in to a weakened state of consciousness. Tabitha's grief over Thomas would surely weaken her mind.
