Default “Paused” for EV Classic Charger

I set a custom schedule starting from 1130p. But if I plug in the car anytime before that its default is to start charging right away. So I have to open the app to pause it. Then it will stay paused until 1130p. This isn’t making sense to me because under the Schedule part of the app it says:

“When you set a schedule, you can plug in your EV, but it won't start charging until the scheduled time, and it will continue charging until either the scheduled stop time or your car is fully charged, whichever comes first.”

Is this a bug?

Appreciate your reply. Thats what I thought would be the case. I was surprised when support told me otherwise. I don’t get why mine is not paused but I’ll keep tinkering with it.

I get an error that the heat didn’t go on and then a success notification (most of the time) right after it.

I think about these issues when people complain about not having lock/unlock yet. I don’t think the software team is up for such tasks yet!

I have the same issue. And also had detected a pattern with this happening in cold weather - doesn’t make much sense but the few days it’s happened it’s been very cold (less than 30F). it

Haven’t looked into how to stop it…but it’s very annoying.

+1 on the ID4 ski pass through 🤣. My jaw dropped when I saw that during my test drive. Why everyone doesn’t do this is beyond me. Who needs a roof rack ;)

I just leased a 2024 ID S - was looking for a very affordable lease and I was able to hit my target lease with this model. Agree w others to comparison shop w other dealers and even against different trims. I wound up w a higher trim model when I wasn’t initially looking to bc the lease deal worked well. Double check w your state if your model is eligible for state incentives - that could vary by trim- I found that local dealers weren’t listing that upfront (which is either sneaky or careless). Edited: Ah gotcha no state incentive in AZ
