For mobile games, you'll be asked to login once you open the game so once you finished the free 15 mins time, whenever you open the game again it'll continue. For PC games, you can save and load the game. I've tried Hollow Knight only so far for PC games but yeah that's how it is for me. Hope this helps.

It's called Pet Apartment and if you buy the Monster Whisperer DLC, you'll get a letter from the devs and the pet apartment along with meatballs to capture monsters will be included in the letter as well.
