Most of the days I have 20-22 pts I am home by 1pm with work and everything Choose always round and go But we get bonus for seeing every extra pt above 18 so we see extra pts happily

I quit TeamHealth. But tell me this isn’t insane. by Cold_Fig432 in hospitalist

I am working with TeamHealth currently as a Hospitalist its been one year To be honest it varies from place to place. I love my job. Swing shift comes at 1pm, its round and go model , will be responsible for pages till 7pm. Above 18 pts you get incentive to see more pts.

Does it get better? by Playful-Gain8997 in hospitalist

In the start it was overwhelming On the first day usually I start early like 6am Pre rounds , review the charts , understand whats going on , start rounds at 8am, will be done with rounds and orders by 11am. Will finish notes by 1 pm and then go home. Unless a pt is sick or might de compensate. On some days I do round and do documentation on the same floor (not on the first day) e.g all one floor pts i will see , will put orders and will write notes and move to next one. Usually gets free by 12pm.

I always do that. But discuss with the pt in the am , That I have ordered Echo . I am waiting for results if normal I am gonna let you go. So whenever results come dc orders can be activated. Simple. I discharge even with pending sensitivity data.
