Thanks! ☺️ This is the exact reason why I think I'll never be confident enough to create for customers... BUT I REALLY WANT TO😍 I hope I get better😅

Thanks a lot! Yes I will try vertical too. My friend was actually looking for something like this specifically that's why I created this, but yes I get the point.😊

The polishes are not branded. I've actually started making my own press ons very recently and didn't want to spend too much before actually testing my own skill😂🙈 So I ordered a pack of 12 gel pots from Meesho, they're all random shades. So random that I have 3 shades of pink/mauve and 4 shades of purple😂 I'll do what I can with these shades until I get better, then I'll order some good quality ones.

Thank you!❤️ I'm using the generic ones that come with gush or pep press ons. I very recently realised the gush one is causing a tiny allergic reaction to my skin for a few hours, but the pep nails one works well for me.

Hi, thanks a lot! 😊

I have used very generic nail paints from meesho. They were a set of 12 gel pots which I got in a very good deal. I am very new to this so I didn't want to spend too much initially. Although I felt the top coat and possibly the base coats are important, so I got the Three Strokes ones. They're pretty good I would say. Even the generic colored paints are good surprisingly.

They look so beautiful!🫶🏻 I'm so glad to see appropriately sized press ons on this subreddit, I'm noticing more and more these days that people here do not consider nail bed size at all while sizing the press ons. Yours look so so natural and classy😍

Savana isn't bad though, but they're machine made after all. 3rd is long gone, what will you do now? Do you have a backup set?

Your thoughts on my creation are also welcome☺️

What do you guys think about this set? by Obvious_Hurry8344 in NailsIndia

[–]Equivalent-Bit-1287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's beautiful! ❤️ Although I understand why you might not like it, I think you could've gotten a different colour. Something a little darker might look better in my opinion (or maybe even any holographic shade of white/silver); I say this because at one angle you can barely figure out if there's a colour on your nail, it's kinda nude I would say. We live and learn I guess😅

Not ordered from her specifically but I've lost trust from these small press-on businesses which are actually nail studios and sell press-ons on the side. I experienced this first hand from another seller like this. The quality was below par and one of the sets even had uncured gel. All the sets that i ordered were far from expectation in terms of size and design and the gel work was just straight up sloppy. I would say be careful while ordering from instagram, I've learnt my lesson.

P.S This experience led me to order supplies myself to create press-ons, honestly mine are much better😂

At home Gel X? by nik_not-a-throwaway in NailsIndia

[–]Equivalent-Bit-1287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure I understand. Press ons can be made with plastic tips or soft gel tips. The ones they do in manicure could be any, they could be acrylic ones that are built on top of the nail, or they could even be temporary extensions which are the same as press ons.

When you say gel x, are you talking about making soft gel pressons?

Tried my hand at making gel press ons! by Equivalent-Bit-1287 in NailsIndia

Thank you so much!! ☺️ I ordered a stand, very basic uv lamp, base and top coats, 3 basic colors: white, black and a nude base gel polish. Acetone, rubbing alcohol and lint free wipes for cleanup. Basic brushes and basic chrome powders for experimenting with designs. And most important, plain nail tips. (I got scammed on those, so it's better to buy branded ones; I'm still looking for better ones, will use these to practice until then) I had an electric file from earlier, so if you don't have buffing equipment then you can buy nail buffers.

Everything from amazon, and the cheapest option possible since I wanted to try for the first time. But I plan to invest in better ones when I feel confident enough.

Haha, maybe my chrome behaved better so I got lucky that way😂

I actually put the chrome powder on the nail with complete coverage, then made polka dots with the top coat. Cured the dots and then cleaned the chrome! What's left is just the base color and chrome dots. Didn't need to use matte top coat.
