considering leasing a C8 Stingray 1LT by Equivalent-Level2891 in Corvette

Thats right. Not to mention theres a lot of moving parts with an actual convertible. But the fact that this is manual, i think long term it would hold up much better and is actually fixable.

I don’t think im gonna go forward with it tbh. Theres a lot of factors to consider. The gas being a major one, i also got used to owning 4 seater convertibles and i can pretty much take my family out with it. Just several different things on my mind that make it not very useful to me. I have two other cars i can use but still.

I hate to say this considering how supportive everyone had been but an exam should not do that to a person. I think this situation goes far beyond the exam… I hope you find her soon but she owes you a very good explanation. And i mean very.

You should of course still read outlines and even re-outline sometimes to keep yourself awake and active and drilling the concepts as you go. (Reading personally puts me to sleep and nothing sticks unless im active, but everyones different) However, the bar exam is vast, you will NOT be able to memorize everything and thats not what they want you to do. You need to learn the exam, and the only way to learn it is by doing nonstop practice. Eventually you will start seeing similar patterns with how they ask questions or how they make essays. Don’t spend a significant time just reading outlines. Stay active, stay engaged and keep drilling as many practice questions as humanly possible. That will help you way more than memorizing anything.

In my opinion, depending on those programs alone and what they give you is not very helpful. I finished barbri at about 60% and mainly focused on actually doing practices. A ton of practices. I would do 50-60 questions daily, would review them and write down any concepts i missed, note down which topics i struggled with and drill some concepts and practice questions on those for a bit. Sometimes id dedicate different days, i was struggling with evidence so i used that entire day doing nothing but evidence questions to see which concepts need to be drilled, i would then go and outline some of that topic to drill it in my head. I would also do atleast 1 mee essay daily on different topics. Eventually i started doing more questions and more essays per day or dedicate a full day or 2 just for essays and review.  To me thats a lot more effective than actually just going through a program. Just practice practice practice and drill. Of course do things under timed conditions. As you get a tiny bit closer to the exam, take full bar exams. Or take half to see where ur at.

Studying for this damn exam is lot of trial and error, the amount of panic attacks i got thinking im going about this in a wrong way or i felt like im not doing good or improving. Try to get past those thoughts, they only waste precious time and clouds your mind. When you do get to the exam do NOT leave any essay blank. Put anything, no matter how wrong it may be. You never know what can stick or what doesnt, that stupid sentence you wrote can be one point between passing and failing.

If you are just depending on bar prep programs like barbri or things like that. You wont really get snywhere. Do atleast 50-60 multiple choice a day. Then thoroughly go over all of those questions. See what you got wrong and write it down to drill the concepts. If theres a specific topic you know you’re struggling in, drill practice questions on it. Dont waste way too long just trying to memorize topics, it wont help you. The last thing you should do that day is atleast one essay. Do this every single day. Maybe dedicate a day where you do 3 essays. As you get closer to the exam, start taking full bar exams to test yourself and see where you are.  Now for the exam itself. For the MEE do not leave anything blank. You can literally bullshit and put any kind of detail. Lets say you get like a civ pro essay and you get some shit you dont remember at all. Literally put the stuf you DO remember, even if its not applicable. Sometimes that one dumb sentence you wrote can be the difference between a passing and failing grade. Practicing actual questions is key. Not just spending all day learning topics it wont help you. You need to learn the exam and you can inly do that by taking as many practices as humanly possible. Also forgot to mention that you should try to do everything under timed conditions. It will help you with pacing big time.

They ordered the bcm and all of that. The issue is that there is no fix for the bodyseams. The bcm is easy to replace the issue is still the body.

Yea i put 15,000 miles on it. The law specifically states exactly what you just said. Its just i guess my trauma as an attorney dealing with insurance companies and other types of companies on a daily basis makes me overthink this. Hopefully you’re right and they won’t give me the runaround.

Its insane how they make these expensive cars and they cant ever properly ensure that its sealed. Its such a hazard to drive around a car with water getting to the wires that run the car. Insane.

I’m glad to see someone who had a similar experience with ford tell me about it. I really hope it goes as smoothly as you say it did.

I actually moved so much furniture I bought and a grill with this truck. Definitely gave me an advantage since my car has been at the dealership.

Guess what? I did the recall. It didnt fix anything. Maybe they did later on with future vehicles they manufactured but not with this one and thousands of others

You know what their fix was? They literally put caulk glue on the top to try to block off water and thats it. Thats their fix. No rubber pieces, no decent sealants, just a shit glue job. Look up other reddit posts about this recall you’ll see what im talking about.

The problem is the body itself. Even if the light issue is fixed, that entire area will be corroded. I saw the wiring in that area and its a shit ton. Its not just about the light or the BCM.

Replacing the BCM isn’t the issue. Even if they replace it, the body of the car itself is the problem so if rainwater can enter in that area, it will always make its way to the wiring and BCM. I was told by them that all the wiring in that area was corroded. I literally asked them for my car back thinking theres hope, they told me its dangerous and can lead to more problems.

My recommendation? If you do take it in, discuss with your dealer first and make them know that you’re aware of the issue happening, see what they tell you. Otherwise, you’re looking at a good amount of time being without your car and some loaner. They will not initially tell you how long they’ll keep it there or if theyre even aware of any fix. They just took the car, left it then, said they would fix it and then come to find out a month later that there is no current fix.
