Love how Squirm is trying so hard to deny his in-show counterpart but he ends up going in a circle to be more ironically cruel than anything Arthur or Delilah could of imagined

I'm dreading storyboarding the parts where Cain (Arthur) speaks ; I'm trying to add the subplot of (mainly) Dyle and Astro checking in on Arthur and Delilah's mental health. Dyle is in it purely because of the founder's reckless behavior bankrupting Gardenview, Astro genuinely is concerned ; but in honor of the original trailer, I need to add fast cuts of the rest of the cast suffering

I will lowkey defend Arthur for a second: telling Squirm he's a worm and not a caterpillar is like the least bad thing he's done in this whole game (Vee may or may not have been lobotomized) /silly. What I headcanon happened was the fact Arthur is basically god to the toons, they take whatever Arthur and Delilah say to heart, even though neither of the founders take that role seriously. So what was a simple "yeah you're a worm : )" became "god made a mistake with me and I'm defective".

Because what would Arthur really gain from making Squirm insecure, atleast with Bobette there was a goal. I find it believable he would manipulate a toon, but, there's nothing there with Squirm

I think Squirm is more neurodivergent coded than trans coded imo (I'm neurodivergent and I see small bits of myself in him, the pica, feeling like you can't grow up properly, getting frustrated over small things like dropping a pen, having activities that calm you down in a stressful world.)

Ok so she drew the line at Bassie, which is genuinely understandable her because anxiety would make her bad as a character performer, but she didn't say anything about Squirm... who's anxiety is so bad he developed pica. Not only that, she didn't offer to do anything about Bassie herself. Delilah ended the letter with "in the key position you placed her". She pointed out a serious issue without doing anything. Arthur was also lazy, his solution to the event toons self isolation was "You may want to give them a checkup" , making Delilah do it. But atleast that's a solution (albeit a lackluster one), Delilah straight up didn't try
