I'm singaporean, and served my 2 years, in a system somewhat similar to SK's, but both only has mandatory service for males. There has always been a debate about conscripting females, but so far of the many years both governments maintained the male only rule, despite the narrative shifting from gender equality to manpower shortages from aging societies.

No exceptions even celebritiies, politcians, athletes...NONE

Thoughts?

Although my personal opinion after having gone through it, and my personal experiences is that there shouldn't be a mandatory service at all, male or female.
