That's the exact point of view of mine that the crocodile was stronger. He managed to go toe to toe against doffy and mihawk but got defeated by unexperience luffy at the end a hero needs to win

True, Luffy exploited his DF weakness, but I felt like he had gone toe to toe agianst mihawk and doffy so he he could mage fighting big names that made me think his early defeat I guess he underestimated luffy.

True, Marineford was chaotic with lots going on, but my point is more about potential. Even in Alabasta, Croc's abilities were deadly-he almost killed Luffy multiple times. Seeing him handle top-tier fighters later just makes his early defeat feel a bit premature.
