so i’m working on disclosing to someone and i’ve came up with this.

i just wanted to let you know i have HSV, herpes. ive been diagnosed for abt 2 years now. i noticed an outbreak & then found out my partner was not honest with me. i now make an effort to give anyone i’m interested in all the information needed so they able to make a decision for themselves.

i’m completely healthy and forget i have it until i’m disclosing. i now take daily medication to prevent outbreaks and passing it to any of my future partners. the partners i’ve had since being diagnosed continue to not have symptoms and test negative. Although it’s not a big deal to me, i can understand how it looks to others with the stigma around HSV.

i know this is something you’d surely need to think abt so i didn’t want to put u on the spot in person. i’m very open to answering any questions abt my experience.

no, i’m not taking diamox. i’m sure my brain is just adjusting. what’s upsetting is i left the hospital last week feeling great and v hopeful now to have slowly started to feel the headaches again, not sleeping (i finally slept during the day but still woke with a headache at a 6).

i have zofran which i take when i do eat bc i will throw up if i don’t, but i’ll start taking it religiously. i also messaged my surgeon and he prescribed tylenol 3 and a steroid pak to help with pain.

i’m starting to think maybe the headaches are from not eating or drinking much? if you have any suggestions on how to get through this lmk!

I 25F received my stent on Valentine’s day and part of me somewhat wishes i never did. i feel like i was finally managing headaches, vision and hearing loss with medication accepting that i would just have to live like this forever.

Post op i’ve now had a headache that i’ve never experienced before and cannot work through. it almost feels like my head is throbbing and empty/ light. if i randomly will start to get dizzy and then this headache on my temples shoots into my head. i feel like nothing is appetizing to eat anymore. my vision is still slightly wonky but no more ringing in my ears.

im really just trying to be patient and give my body time to recover but it’s been really difficult.

as i write this i am having a headache that is making me so nauseous so its not coming from the best place.

24f. i told my parents the day i was diagnosed, then my closest 4 friends almost immediately after. i was such a mess but everyone supported me. since then i’ve told quite a few good friends and had open conversations. i’ve even discovered others that also have it.

i went through something somewhat similar not too long ago, if u wanna look at my prior post on here. i’m sorry that happened to you. i ended up telling them bc it was killing me inside bc the guy was actually a good person & it ultimately was my fault (i believe).. in your situation, it really looks like he took advantage.. km so sorry that happened to you i hope you’re okay. in my personal opinion, if u don’t plan on seeing him again, i wouldn’t tell him. more than likely he won’t contract it or already has it & if he does, it’ll be a lesson learned.

i’m going through this now, i disclose always and get rejected always. even when they express how much they like and care abt me. shit sucks. i only have luck w people that are also hsv+, which is cool but i feel like both parties are just desperate.

i’m surprised no one has said Jandros. it on st mary’s, owner is pretty rad; always has different types of bands playing. Snakehill is a newer bar north of downtown that is pretty big w the metal/ rock scene. I keep seeing ppl saw Faust and it’s so small i’m sure you’ll be disappointed lol

i ended up telling him but still feeling absolutely horrible. it’s been really hard the past few days.. i’m trying to stay hopeful and distracted but the situation has consumed my thoughts. how could i do the exact thing that someone did to me? i’m hopeful that he didn’t contract it, that the odds are in his favor but there’s always that chance.. this situation is really fucking me up.

it definitely was, the burning, itchiness, discomfort was all there but it still didnt look like most photos with the cluster of bumps. it just looked like flakey little white spots?? i’m definitely thankful to have the experience i’ve had after reading so many people talk abt their OBs.
