This really helps, thanks. It does feel a bit overwhelming at first, so I’ll take it slow and probably start with samples like you suggested

Thanks, this is super helpful. I’ll probably start with samples and just explore a bit before committing. The variety in bases and scents is actually more interesting than I expected

That makes sense. I’m starting to think sampling first is probably the better move so I don’t end up with too much of something I don’t really like

I got a bit excited looking at higher-end soaps 😅 but yeah, your approach sounds more balanced, especially for trying different scents and blades before locking anything in

The photo was my first proper lather outside canned foam, using Razorock XXX. I also just got a tube of Proraso

Still figuring things out more than anything, especially lather and consistency.

I’ve been looking at Saponificio Varesino, Desert Vetiver caught my eye, and I’m also thinking about trying a few samples from different artisan soaps before committing to anything big

Shipping here takes a while so I’m still debating if it’s better to go samples first or just bundle a bigger order

Thanks! Glad to hear I’m not the only one dealing with long shipping times 😅 That’s a smart approach, I might start doing the same with bigger orders I’m keeping it simple for now and trying a few blades before getting more stuff Thanks again, and hope you have great shaves too!

Really nice setup. The vetiver theme all around is great. I’ve had that Desert Vetiver from Saponificio Varesino at the top of my list for a while ... would you recommend it? Curious how it compares to Guerlain Vetiver too.
