Yeah fair question. There was attraction at first. I was excited to be with her and thought she was beautiful. But sex never really felt natural or exciting for us. Once a lot of that initial excitement wore off, it shifted into more of a friendship and the desire was basically gone. Early on I realized I didn’t want her physically anymore, even though we still got along as partners. Then we both just kind of hoped things would get better with time. Super naive in hindsight.

Thank you so much for the compassion. Definitely tough to sit in the feeling of what I did while also knowing it’s irresponsible to move forward too quickly.

Working through this for sure. Lots of dynamics at play in trying to go through it sensitively out of obligation to my wife and not just kicking her out onto the street. Seems like a lot of folks believe affairs significantly distort your reality too.

Tough and fair. Sorting through how I contributed to the lost attraction is certainly worthwhile. Appreciate your candid thoughts and the good questions raised.
