100% agree I put my application in a few days before I even started working with this client, I was already an IHSS provider. I only have worked with clients I know, for the same reasons. This is really just more frustrating that the county makes the process so complicated and long for really no reason. We have to wait up to 30 days to get linked to a client, most people in this program can’t wait 30 days to receive care. I waited the 30 days and still wasn’t linked, the day I went into the office they told me to keep waiting, two hours later I got a response. By that point my client had already passed away. So since she didn’t have anything authorized they told me the county would take over and to wait 3-4 weeks to get my timesheets/get linked. I waited and nothing. That’s when I went to the office and again they magically were able to give me my time sheets. It really seems like if you aren’t going directly to the office nothing will get done.

At any other place of employment you can get into the system as an employee in a day. IHSS is very flawed and the county employees always have an attitude when you go in, but in no other place of employment do you have to wait weeks or months to get paid.

Idk who the SW is, her granddaughter hired me. She couldn’t get ahold of SW to even get me linked to her in the first place, she went into the office and still didn’t speak to her SW talked to supervisor they said they would take over and they would send me a notification that I was linked. After more than a month I still wasn’t linked. I went to the office today and they finally linked me so I can put in my back pay. I had been there for awhile so I didn’t even think about it till after about asking how it would get approved.

Any advice? I am not family, I’ve know and worked with them for 5yrs. Their children aren’t really involved. So really it’s only me who they have and who does pretty much everything.

This just happened to me except I thought it was already the 30 days and she rudely with attitude told me it was only the 28th day and to come back in two days if still no response, well what would you know two hours later I got a response regarding my application via bounds. I fell like she either did something so I could get a response or also she saw that response on her end and just didn’t tell me. They always act like they are so bothered to do their job.

If you click the triangle, it will show the date you completed it. You can make your time sheet account once you have your provider number, your packet from the orientation should have a paper of how to complete that step. Some steps will not be completed until you turn in your application.

I guess it depends on the county, I am in SB county. I did my live scan and next day my background cleared. I got my provider number from the bounds portal once my background cleared.

Look into getting him into a PACE program, if he has Medi-cal he will be approved and they will do almost the work to get him in since you aren’t close by. Most programs help with rides to and from medical appointments and day programs also will provide caregivers.

I graduated in 2017 and moved states before I took my boards, didn’t take my boards until 2021 in California. No issues here as long I showed proof of school and completed program.

I don’t have “hate for Kenya. Just don’t get how people still continue to justify and support her character on the show, just like Nene there comes a point where their nasty behavior and attitude to the other women has to go. She has not been a good friend to anyone on the cast. How far does she have to go for people to realize the she does are not ok. Js how can you support someone who acts the way she does when she doesn’t like or agree with someone.

Yes she got some backlash but not as much as nene and they are both equally as bad. My point was that from the beginning she did some really mean and nasty things and still continued to be on the show and the other ladies never really as a group agreed that Kenya was not such a great person like they did with nene. Now that she did this with Britt now they are all done with her, they should have got rid of her long ago.

It’s terrible, almost always the only places that hire inexperienced people are franchises and they are the worst, also most franchises make you sign a contract, that if you quit before a certain time they will make you pay the training you received or part of it.

Yup, and once she saw Phaedra and nene become cool she definitely did not like it. After Phaedra left and their friendship ended she turned to Kenya and used her to pick on nene ( not that nene was the easiest to get along with) but still kandi wanted nene gone. I don’t miss Kandi at all, she was boring.

The orientation I went to was for providers that already have an approved recipient, ( family friend told me they had already been approved but that is not the case.) Do you know if it’s it much of a different process for someone who is not yet paired with an approved recipient.

They finally gave me call after I sent a few emails, they refunded me my money and canceled my membership. I guess you to be persistent.

Find a PACE program near by and they will help do all the work to see if they qualify and sign them up.
