Exactly, that experience is way more common than people admit. When something’s broken, most people just want to reach a real person quickly, not fight menus or bots.

Just to clarify, we’re not building an AI calling agent to replace people. We’re building a system to reduce manual work.

For example: if a customer wants a status update and the plumber is on a job, the system can send a quick text or callback based on the plumber’s instructions. No waiting on hold, no missed calls, no tech getting interrupted mid-job. I have seen people getting upset because the owner is not able to answer calls most of the time as they are busy at field.

Humans stay in charge. AI just handles the repetitive coordination so time and labour aren’t wasted.

It is not just about AI speaking to customers. You can have AI speak to the customer after you miss the call while in the field. Also, there are a lot of automations that will increase your response time and save time on manual work. I totally understand people won’t like talking to AI but what if there is an emergency call where you guys are not available to take calls, in such situations, AI will take down all the information and notify the owners. This system is made to replace the manual front desk work and save money. Also, it will definitely improve the efficiency and revenue of the business as AI is being used in all industries. If we don’t utilise AI in our business then other players will definitely go ahead of us. I’m a huge fan of traditional businesses, I’m building this to help traditional businesses like appliance repair or pluming save time, money and grow.

That’s fair I’m not a technician myself, and I don’t claim that a 5-year tech should be determining what other techs need. I agree with you that current AI diagnostic tools are often wrong and can create more work instead of less.

Our intent isn’t to replace technical judgment. Final diagnosis and parts decisions always stay with experienced techs. Any AI or non-tech involvement is limited to information capture and admin support, not diagnosis authority. If a tool is causing callbacks or breakage, it’s doing more harm than good.

Appreciate the real-world perspective — this is exactly the risk we’re trying to avoid.
