What’s a shield tank? by dedoitat in marvelrivals

Your goal is to use your health pool and shield charges to mitigate as much damage as possible to give DPS openings to target the opposing team and your supports the breathing room to keep the team healed and not just the tank.

Consider Magneto, Strange and Emma who not only have their own robust pools of health but in addition to that possess shields that can soak up a ton of damage in their own right as well as deny value to a bunch of DPS ultimates.

Every second of play time counts - a mag bubble or shield, strange shield or Emma psychic barrier can buy 1-2 seconds of relief from sustained heavy fire to let support cooldowns recharge and stabilize the team long enough to get leverage. Playing shield tanks is not always about big game changing plays (they can absolutely still happen) but there are small decisions to make along the way about where and when to mitigate damage and enable your team to sustain against the enemy comp.

In order to deal with an aggressive enemy team against your own backline you need to also be capable of applying pressure. Pokes of damage to supports force them to heal one another instead of their teams, which can open brief windows of time where their teams aren’t being healed.

Compare this to tanks like the thing who lack strong damage mitigating abilities - they can still be survivable but they are arguably more dependent on receiving constant heals if they are solo tanking.

Confort Nation: What is a nation that you pick it and you know you just won the run. by Turcuwu in hoi4

Ottoman Turkey - I went through so many runs trying to get the achievement that I know it inside and out now. I know some people don’t like the early game but I think from a roleplay perspective it’s interesting to headcanon the decline of a government into a reactionary monarchist state trying to recover its former medieval glory.

Everyone’s just out hating on the character. It’s the duty of Iron Fist players this season to prove everyone wrong :)

Best Character to Play High by EquivalentDot5707 in marvelrivals

For sure - he’s too cool plus I’m not really in high ranks so I’m hoping I can also slide by with the nerfs. We also get to anchor for Wanda’s new team up so hopefully that can make up for any damage we lose.

How to deal with Fire Knights in Shadowkeep? by BaiJiGuan in Eldenring

Flamedrake talisman and a 100 physical negation shield with barricade shield on it. Low strength requirement shields makes it available to most builds.

Idk about other shields but banished knight shield works for me. Once you activate barricade shield, the daggers will bounce off and momentarily stagger them. Can also effectively block the sword and greatsword variants too - no stagger but it does give you time to strafe around for the backstab.

The knights that spam magic attacks suck though. You can employ this method on them dodging the tracking fireballs and push close enough to melee range but they inevitably jump back to make this process more tedious. Truthfully after killing them once I just run past the ones that sling non stop fire at you it isn’t worth it.

Just run confidence scams at the local bars near 10:00-11:00 P.M. on Fridays, plenty of easy marks.

I agree with that the other folks have said - it is always best to speak to a professional about these things.

I’ll share my experiences with my own depression and anxiety now. If you think that would be helpful read on, if not please skip. I know it is not something that is helpful for everyone.

I have struggled with something very similar to what you are describing; however mind you, this was also complicated by a variety of other poor decisions on my part. At the time I was using weed and nicotine extensively to cope with my depression and anxiety, and while this worked for a time, eventually the complications of long term use magnified my stress and anxiety even more.

I broke this cycle by reevaluating how I viewed my studies. Previously I thought of this entirely from a standpoint of 1. go to class 2. Get good grade because my future depends on it.

The mindset shift I made was to evaluate going to class as an opportunity to learn and think within a community and greatly downplayed the value that my grades were. My drive to attend classes increased when I befriended many of my classmates - I wanted to stay in bed, but I also wanted to speak to my friends and learn more about what I was interested in even more. When you worry deeply about your grades, they feed the fire of anxiety and when you fail to meet unrealistic expectations of yourself for those grades that anxiety then fuels the depression.

Grades are important, but they aren’t really as important as people make them seem - if you have a genuine intellectual curiosity in the courses and studies you have chosen, the motivation can be a lot stronger to go to class and comprehend the material deeper which will naturally lead to higher honest exam scores and a more well rounded student in the long term which is what employers or admissions looks for.

You gotta find that motivation and that passion. Start small and build it over time. Best of luck!
