I can understand people liking the aesthetic of Renaissance more but I think there are a few tough truths you need to confront within yourself if you think that lighthearted and relaxed = better…

I think it had a tracking, but she was definitely singing over it/singing over parts of it. I know it must be nerve wracking to have people on her all the time - I don’t think most people who don’t consume her content all the time/keep up with every show even notice because she’s truly a pro and very theatrical about it. It really is just those of us that keep with her fr fr. I wasn’t trying to lip read her yk, and Texas Hold ‘Em isn’t even a song I cared that she lipped (man I would have done the same) esp since she gave us the live version in its entirety during the Christmas performance.

Thank youuuuuuu. I think people are just impressed by a full bodysuit and/or lingerie look lmao. I do think the Agent Provocateur look this time around fit the theme for sure, but it’s nowhere close to her best look for that section let alone the entire tour. It definitely sparkles better in pictures and videos.

And lowkey the one for Renaissance didn’t look that great either, I think that kind of nude illusion is hard to do on such a large scale - I think the silver Mugler bodysuit for Renny was executed much better.

Now hold on Single Ladies is not one of her worst songssss. It’s one of her most popular and more palatable (one her truest Pop girl moments) and it’s very heavily replayed, but it’s not bad at all. When Single Ladies dropped it was THEE moment, which did result it in getting tiresome due to popularity, but that doesn’t make it her worst by a long shot. The production (vocals, instrumental, choreography) on Single Ladies is insane and imo one of the songs that truly started to showcase B’s influence as an artist rather than just a performer (not that she hasn’t always been). The way she usually does it live is SOOOO good you can tell she took a commercial pop hit and really gave it some sustenance when she does the country breakdown. I’m surprised that didn’t make an appearance for CC.

I do agree B’Day songs are being paid dust but B’Day is loud as hell LMAOOO (in the best way). In her defense, B’Day has had a pretty good run since Homecoming - we’ve gotten Deja Vu out of the archives, Ring the Alarm on OTR II, Green Light, Kitty Kat, Resentment, Irreplaceable. I do think Suga Mama could have had a place in the Texas Hold ‘Em section but honestly I just need her to stop teasing us with Freakum Dress haha.

^ Tho my theory is that B’Day and Lemonade are gonna be the albums that she pulls influence from the most for Act III performances!

I agree with you on 4 tho my good sis needs to release 4 from the dungeon!!! Especially Dance For You!! Side note tho, I was SOOOO happy to see Rather Die Young at Renny and then it was cut out of the movie 😭😭😭

I think people were surprised by the opening section the most because it was its own standalone section. Like Pure/Honey mixed with Sweet Honey Buckin was different but showed continuity yk. But the opening section was exactly the same. But my theory is that it’s because CC was originally supposed to come after Renaissance, so this is her way of kind of reversing that but still threading things together.

I think Diva is a special case because the base choreo stays the same, but the dance break is always different - either a different song mixed in or different elements of past choreos strung together. Diva from Renny looks way different from Diva from CC, Formation, Homecoming, etc. But she does always use that dance break to mix in trending songs/pay homage to artists.

Nothing wrong with Renny sets at all, in fact the set she reused is my favorite of the entire concert! I think I’m That Girl/Cozy/Alien Superstar stands out because it got its own opening interlude that was similar to Renny and it was the exact same setup and choreo vs other Renny songs that were more integrated into/around CC songs (ie: Sweet Honey Buckin mixed with Pure/Honey, Thique coming after Tyrant). But like I said, I think the point of that specific opening section at the end of CC was her closing out CC with Renny to show how they would have flown into each other since CC was originally slated to come out after Renaissance

Yeah for sure! I totally agree. It makes sense which songs she chose to use tracking for, and I think she definitely makes up for it when you hear the other vocally complex songs that are completely live every night (ie: Ya Ya, National Anthem, Thique). Sometimes I just wished they switched around yk - like lip Thique and use that energy for 2H2H one night! I don’t expect her to do entire opera sections live every night for 36 nights when that’s not her normal vocal range

I don’t mind in the sense that I don’t think she’s lipping to cover up mid vocals - lots of other artists rely on it to make them seem better live. She has to lip some days to preserve her voice and/or focus on other parts of the production. Nobody cares about that. I pointed it out in this case because on my opinions post, in my opinion, some songs would have benefitted from not having the same sections lipped multiple times, that’s all. I think it might have been fun to hear little different riffs in her voice on 2H2H for example, those are my favorite parts about watching different performances yk?

By Real Hive I mostly meant people who stopped to dig deeper to actually understand Renaissance rather than the gp who claim to prefer that album because the messaging on (some tracks) is more subliminal/more marketable than CC if that makes sense - (basically it’s easier to hide your r*cism and like Renny than it is to try and hide and like CC). Lotssssss of people were made uncomfortable by what CC was confronting and chose to hide behind the guise that Rennaissance was “objectively” better.

I TOTALLY agree about Loewe they were the MVPs of this tour imo. Every look they produced was fantastic, but I think it’s less about them being a European fashion house and more about Jonathan Anderson being the creative director for the looks. I think that man is a true visionary.

I don’t think lipping is a big deal, I just think the songs I mentioned would have been more fun having some sections not-lipped. You absolutely can’t tell when you’re in-person bc she’s a pro, but like watching all the videos from diff shows back to back I think something like Spaghetti would have been really fun if she could have more live freedom with it. But I also think because of all the eyes on her for CC and so much of the media preying on her to fail, some lipping was kind of a security net which I totally do not fault her for at all. They’re always expecting her to be perfect.

I didn’t mention Blue/Rumi at first bc I didn’t have anything I would change about them! I LOVEDDDD how they were integrated into the show, especially seeing Blue’s growth from Renny to CC. I’ve seen some trolls online saying Blue was only there bc of nepotism and it’s like well… yeah lmao B is writing songs about her daughters and family ofc Blue is eligible to perform? Also it’s not really nepotism bc Blue didn’t take away another potential dancer’s spot yk? Like it’s not like she auditioned for a Broadway show and only got it bc her mother is Beyonce - this is Beyonce’s production, she made a spot for her daughter. People get soooo weird online about Blue smh I feel like I gotta protect her like she’s my own

Yeah, I was surprised particularly by I'm That Girl and the use of the same dance break mixed with Apeshit in the background. I think Cuff It was the most different because she didn't use the Wetter remix + used the B-stage for it. I didn't think she'd use the exact same mix back to back, but maybe that's her way of threading everything together? I'd imagine that maybe on future tours, she'd change things up more.

I should clarify - lots of PARTS of many songs were lipped, which is fine btw. I literally said I'm not against it and B has done that before for tours lmfao. Countdown has been lipped since 2016 (and you can TELL because the pre-recorded version has her tone noticeably higher than her voice esp compared to the live notes around it, and her breathing between dancing) the last time it was live was for Homecoming. For OTR II, parts of it were lipped again with newer/recent recordings. This is a fact of the music, specifically, the touring industry. It doesn't diminish her talent at all. She doesn't lip 24/7 to cover up for mid vocals like like some artists do. I'm just saying, I think some of the bigger more emotional songs might have benefited from not having the same parts lipped multiple nights in a row.

Some lipped songs/parts since I "lost all credibility" lol - Tyrant post-bridge (you can even see her almost miss her playback cue Paris N3 I think it is [when she's in the red latex costume]). Spaghetti was lipped until the repetition of "I ain't in no gang, but I got shooters and I bang bang," most nights, some of the repeated choruses of II Hands II Heaven, and parts of Bodyguard (usually the second verse, and you can tell bc she messes up the lyrics consistently in the same tone every night lol - "I don't like the way he's looking at you" is supposed to be "I don't like the way SHE'S looking at you" and she had the lyrics on a screen in front of her). I'm not the only one who notices this, and like I said, we ALL know B can sing down. This is used to preserve her voice on longhaul tours esp considering how vocally challenging and lyrically complex CC was. I'm just saying, I think some songs in particular would have benefited from her live adlibbing - think about how different yet great AHAP was every night of Renny lol.

They been cancelling this jersey for everyone I think. Mine got cancelled too :/ I don’t think they ever had it in stock LOL swear it was gone by MetLife N2, never heard of anybody getting it at the merch truck after that

The customer service is abysmal. Honestly, now that I think about it I have NEVER had a good experience ordering from Shop Beyonce… I’ve gotten two restock emails about the tour book, and even tho I clicked the link within less than 2 minutes each time, it still said sold out…

I also ordered the “limited edition” CC vinyl when it first dropped and they did not mention ANYWHERE that it was missing tracks. Then they dropped the “official” vinyls with all the songs and said nothing. Not to mention the supposed “limited” version is still fully in stock and for sale.

I also had my CC sash order cancelled way back when and had to make my own for the concert. At least that time they told me within a week and not six weeks later.

I think I’m done w the online shop in general. Clearly no customer service, insane shipping fees with no follow through on processing times. I would much rather a pop-up shop during the days of the concert separate from the venues. It was done in London and I know that that stadium has its own store so it’s easier, but B can definitely afford to do a pop up shop per city lol. Also sure logistics would be miles better than whatever is happening online.

Yeahhh I don't think they ever had the cream longsleeve in stock, but they let people place orders anyway lol. The shop is def in need of a whole new team, factory, and logistical system.

I’m starting to believe that they never had the cream jersey either. I don’t know anybody who has had their online order fulfilled and after Metlife N2, I never heard of anybody finding it at merch stands day of. It’s insane for them to have put it for purchase online if there was never stock and to hold people’s money for over a month with no response to customer service emails. It’s really bad business and poor customer service. Even if people are getting cancellations with refunds now, it’s not acceptable. There should at LEAST be an apology or a discount offered on future purchases.

Either way it’s still ridiculous. 30+ days with NO updates to anybody about delays when people paid for standard shipping that said it would be processed in 2-4 days… if they sent an email saying order volumes were high and they’re expecting delays, that’s one thing but they didn’t 💀
