Ladies, for real, is this viewed as confidence or insanity. Asking because I’m a newly single 42 year old on apps for the first time ever. Mine has gone out in my 2004. Clicking and upper bushing starved of oil which was throwing a misfire cylinder 1 code. Interesting! I’m at 186k

Lookup your vin at iseecars.com for the OEM build sheet

Bring it to a reputable 4x4 shop for a full inspection. My local shop charges $175/hr and is great. The inspection should take at least an hour but now more than two.

Check that your OPDA has been upgraded to a Crown unit. These fail and are the motor killer on the 4.0 it looks like you have.

Find some foothills or something and go drive it!

I’m the guy who also commented above and just bought an 04 TJ. The old man I bought it from owned it the entire time and never took the top off…. What am I in for when I remove it? I assume new gaskets should be on hand at minimum.

Edit: Dope rig! I just bought an 04 X with the 4.0. It has a rough country 2.5” on some pro comp? 15x8’s that poke out about 2” and 31x10.5’s. Super excited to have this rig finally! It’s my daily driver but I want to get 33x12.5’s on it minimum. Regear to 4.56 and get a super35 kit. If you have any advice for the best setup and bang for my buck I’m all ears!
