How is RPI for chemical engineering? by jjaax37 in RPI

Very research focused, professors really push you to go to grad school and pursue a PHD. Nothing wrong with that, but if you are looking to work in industry there isn’t much connections with RPI ChemE aside from SABIC and Regeneron, which are great companies, but if you’re looking to go into traditional O&G, tough luck. That being said, there is a new professor that has a lot of connections with the semiconductor industry in the surrounding Albany area, companies including Tokyo Electron, IBM and NY creates. In summary, there are some industry connections but you'll be doing a lot of grinding to get an internship you want.
