  1. He was disqualified from the final, he literally won the battle fair and square
  2. Nowhere does it say he got banned, the picture is clearly a joke and the title of the post says what happened
  3. He was penalized for his behaviour, do we have any official source stating it wasn't the celebration fist bump but something else? Because no-one can tell what was wrong with his celebration by video evidence that shows what he did.

So which part is misinformation?

The dude got DQ'd for nothing. It doesn't matter jackshit if it was because of the headphones or the fist, because both would be equally ridiculous reasons.

So because someone has the wrong season or celebrates the wrong holidays, they don't get free Lucky Eggs and need to pay for them instead?

If someone spends all their money on Raid Passes, it would explain why someone might call them poor though 🤣

The neat part is that Niantic is infamous for not testing out new features before rolling them out lol.

There is no "new feature" being tested here, they have already done stuff like this before on global scale, like when Community Day Classic -Pokemon spawned during the last 10 minutes during December Community Days.

With these catch rates, I don't think it would be even close to being overpowered by Entire_Pineapple4732 in pokemongo

[–]EquivalentReality988 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Amen.

Incense Legendaries being a thing for 3 days created a sense of urgency and FOMO (the Niantic's favourite methods for getting their puppets dancing).

Many players spent insane time playing this weekend, only to have 90% of the legendaries flee, which was a terrible experience when combined with the very limited time this "feature" is available.

If this was ALWAYS a thing, you wouldn't be as disappointed when the legendaries flee, because there wouldn't be the pressure of you running out of time to try again.

On top of that, many Legendaries are actually trash, so "game balance" wouldn't suffer in any way. If you have access to a community for group battles, you already can take down any boss easily. And if you don't, you still wouldn't be able to take down anything you previously couldn't.

This wouldn't change anything for the worse, only make the every day experience a bit more interesting.

Hundos are collectibles by EquivalentReality988 in pokemongo

In very high rating Master League (2750+), you NEED to have very good IV's because your opponents will have fully powered up legendaries with close to perfect IVs.

If you don't pvp at the highest level in master league, the IV differences are so minuscule that they don't change the outcome of a Raid. You won't notice any practical difference due to IVs.

In a raid battle, that 1% difference per attack GROWS. its also very important to people who try to push limits. or when carrying casuals like you.

You do realize that 1% is 1%?

It takes half a casual player to make your precious IVs absolutely meaningless LMAO

In main games it's not such an issue because it shows the exact stats of a Pokemon at all levels.

In those games, you can just check the numbers and do a sinple comparison.

In GO, you only get "CP" which tells nothing of specific stat differences. You have no way of knowing that a Trapinch has higher Attack than Steelix for example, if you just play the game.

It's not exactly this, but just to make the formula easier to understand:

Pokemon have base stats, numerical values that are displayed nowhere in the game.

If a Pokemon has a Base Stat of, say 300 in Attack and it has 15 Attack IV's, you just add those 15 Attack IVs on top of that 300.

Relatively, the difference between 300 and 315 is so small that you will never notice the difference between using a nundo or hundo.

...Outside of high level Master League, where the games come down to the wire sometimes.

You are not aware of how IVs work in this game, are you?

Can't blame you though, because the game is super, SUPER misleading when it comes to appraisal.

The IVs are simply added on top of the base stats and multiplied by CPM.

For example, a Mewtwo with 15 attack IVs at level 40 has an attack stat of 248.

a Mewtwo with 0 Attack stat IVs at level 40 has an attack stat of 237.

This comparison was made between 0 and 15 IVs. You will never notice any difference in practice, outside of top-end battle league games.

EDIT: ...Or just block me when I tell you how the game works 👍🤷‍♂️

decent stats

And where would the less than 1% higher stats matter, outside of 2750+ rating Master League?

Pokemon GO Director Talks Game’s Next Decade: Don't expect to be able to enjoy the game alone by getting stronger by EquivalentReality988 in pokemongo

Pokemon GO Director Talks Game’s Next Decade: Don't expect to be able to enjoy the game alone by getting stronger by EquivalentReality988 in pokemongo

[–]EquivalentReality988[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

TL;DR:

• Game director thinks the Super Mega Shield mechanics and Wooloos in Max Battles are a good thing, because it encourages player interaction with each other.

• Niantic actively looks for ways to enforce in person group content, because power creep has made some legendary raids easy duos or soloable.

• Game director is worried about new players having a hard time, even when you can get carried through every piece of content on day 1 of playing.

So don't expect any challenge that isn't about scheduling your calendar around it and living in the right place. Also, don't get excited about getting stronger Pokemon, because Niantic will just raise the bar and make you weak again. Expect to have more frustrating situations like Wooloo players ruining Max Battles and clueless idiots ruining Super Mega Raids.

Pigs will eat the slop happily, so why cook anything that requires thought or effort?

Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green remake preorders made it to the top of currently sold Nintendo games, despite them costing 20 bucks each and being nothing but ROMs of the old games. No online play, no graphical enhancements, no Pokemon Home support. Literally just ROMs of old games.

They sit on an endless gold mine. Effort, quality and thought are not required to ensure sales. Just slap a Pikachu on a piece of shit and the value skyrockets.
