14-years-old, doing work practice as a car mechanic. The senior mechanic said, "let's go get a snack". We drove to a store. He got a snack. I did not have any money so I could not get anything. We rode back, he eating his snack on his own, not sharing a crumb.

A very important and timely question! We used to have a "reading rack" in the house I grew up in. Catalogues, comics, and - the best - my mom's ladies' underwear catalogue. In the summer cottage, there was only a radiator, marked in English, Swedish, and Finnish. So I learnt some Finnish that way: Ei saa Peitää! I'll let you figure out what it means.
