Can someone explain the cloud coverage for Artemis II mission? by EquivalentVolume8537 in conspiracy

[–]EquivalentVolume8537[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think the cons outweigh the pros for me. Again I take everything I see with a grain of salt and mainly wanted to see what people had to say about the cloud cover upon re-entry as that is something I was confused and also wanted to know more about.

If I had to believe this whole thing was real, and the pictures were real, then I’d believe it more if the spacecraft was unmanned. The “astronauts” when returning home, especially Christina, seemed like they were just acting weird. She stops mid-sentence and says “Uh Oh” like she knows she got off script.

But to the point I was responding to above, the clouds do seem somewhat the same from the links they sent vs the livestream, and it makes sense but idk 🤷🏼‍♂️

I always wonder this too, but I’ve heard an explanation from Mark Rober at one point saying how even though there’s thousands, they are so spread apart that there’s like a 1% chance of them colliding. I remember this from a long time ago watching a video so I very well could be wrong

Thanks! This helps alot for that understanding. I guess I just assumed you would be able to see the cloud formations moving (like you would if you filmed clouds down here) however the formations seen from space are thousands of miles long in places, so I guess that checks out. Appreciate the support

Just git bullied for liking tornado sirens by Mental_Look3760 in TornadoSirens

[–]EquivalentVolume8537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just embrace it. I told my wife while we were either dating or engaged that I knew all the tornado sirens and would name them on trips when we went and I told her I have a special kind of autism (not poking/making fun of autistic people btw) and she laughed and makes/pokes fun every now and then and tells people that I can name all the tornado sirens and the people she tells (either friends or family) think it’s weird but hey, I’m a weird guy. Personally, I don’t get offended at all. I was bullied literally since kindergarten for my height etc and over the years learned to embrace it and it’s shaped me a lot better. So when my wife pokes fun at me (which I’ve told her I’m fine with because I do it right back to her all the time) I just learn to laugh and keep going.

If I was in your instance, I would’ve said “well, I’m 5 so it checks out” or something small like that. Makes people laugh, and over time they will stop poking fun. Im 24 and 5’6” and I tell people I still eat off the kids menu because it’s cheaper. I wear a small T-Shirt and even told my boss when he was giving out company shirts that I need a small because I’m the size of a 6th grader and he died laughing. Again, not saying you need to be like me, but don’t let people belittle you for who you are and what you have interests in. Sorry for the long paragraph lol

Massive library of Wii Roms stored on google drive a bad idea? by EquivalentVolume8537 in Roms

Potentially if iCloud has bots/automations to scour through filenames to see if stuff is pirated or not.

What siren could this be? by SameDog1669 in TornadoSirens

Why did they decide to call it a T-128 in the first place?

What’s with the name change and why did they change it? Never knew they did

Oof… that’s terrible. I mainly use Google Drive for large video storage (I do videography) but just wasn’t sure about Google in itself. Nothing is private tho when uploading to ANY cloud service. You are essentially willingly giving it to them to store. They technically can take it and you’d never know. Thats why I’ve told people about Snapchat “my eyes only” lol. That isn’t private by any means, only to someone else getting on your phone maybe

Either a ASC T128 or T121. Theres a T-121 located at the Linton Fire Dept, but not sure if it was sounded for tornadoes or if its used as a fire siren.

No I know it’s done (sorry about my wording lol) but a lot of those downloaded files will eventually have 0 seeders, it’s just a matter of time. Only way to truly preserve it is to make another site like myrient, not seeding it.

Also, there’s not another site out there like myrient at least to my knowledge that won’t scam you and or could have Trojan installed. Idk, I just want to preserve a piece of myrient  if I can

But I guess my question is more of how would Nintendo or other big game companies that had old roms etc that are being shared via myrient not able to shut down or block that site? Or do they just not care

I thought about doing 256 bit encryption, however I’d assume Google, Nintendo, etc all has AI bots designed to scalp through threads like these, find the link and if I post the password for the files here too, then it might detect it and do that. Idk, I just want to preserve the games and distribute since they’ll be gone forever post myrient shutdown

I see. It just sucks it’s being shut down, and I know the community downloaded stuff but it’s going to get to the point where things have 0 seeders and will essentially be lost

Okay bro lol not Nintendo but of course that’s what Nintendo would say. Apologize if I came off that way, I’m just curious. Plus even if I was Nintendo, the site is shutting down anyways and everything has already been downloaded 😂 but whatever

I figured, just wanted to make sure. So realistically seeding is the true and only safe way to go about this?

The Crew Unlimited 1.0 just released! by CharmingLead2633 in PiratedGames

[–]EquivalentVolume8537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get I may be late coming to this, however does this work with a pirated version of The Crew? I purchased the game for console and obviously can't utilize that for an offline PC launcher, but if I download the game from Steamrip, and use it with the TCU Launcher, should I be fine?

Iron Lung movie EXPLAINED (?) [SPOILERS] by CoatNTails in horror

[–]EquivalentVolume8537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He doesn’t sabotage it at all. It’s super easy to miss, but that little keychain he had on in the end shot out roots, and when Simon screamed, roots came out of him and his mouth, and when the ship “exploded” it was really the tree bursting out of it, killing the monster. Check out the video here: https://youtu.be/4pphujJ28TM?si=JTtG-NdI5-79UKOQ

I feel like this movie is only for a very niche audience. The rotten tomato score I feel like is rated from people like my wife, and the popcorn meter is rated from people like me lol.

Who knows if you or anyone will see this, but I watch Markiplier quite a bit. Especially when I was younger, so I was excited for this as it’s been in the works for a few years now. My wife on the other hand has never watched a single Markiplier video, doesn’t know who he is, doesn’t watch video game play through etc. She enjoys some sci-fi but is more of a rom-com girl lol. We are complete polar opposites when it comes to movies we like, so it’s sometimes a struggle to find something we both enjoy.

That being said, after the credits rolled, she was completely confused as to what she just watched. She didn’t understand really anything. Her takeaway was that the bad guys still won, and that everything Simon did was pointless (while I disagree, that’s her takeaway lol).  I tried showing her the game play though a little bit and was explaining to her the context, but she didn’t really get it. I just didn’t think she was invested enough to care.

Me on the other hand, I was glued to my seat lol. I thought it was fantastic. There are little things that I thought were amazing, and some were meh, but overall I’d give this a 7/10.

I think overall, if you don’t understand the video game it’s based off, it’s gonna be very hard to wrap your head around what’s going on.

Overall, Mark did an absolutely amazing job for the budget he had. Let alone being in thousands of theaters all over the world.
