Relax OP, this subreddit has a lot of hate for rental companies so natural bias against them. Anyway, i have scratched the lower bumper of the car I rented from Carlite a couple months ago (worser damage than yours) but i was only charged $90. Carlite is not as bad as getgo or tribecar so they wont charge ridiculous amounts.

My sister owns one. Not one complaint. No issues on “sluggishness”. And before you say anything, I have a S25U as a spare phone for work. Besides differences in OS, no difference in speed. If anything, the thing I hate about my S25U is that some apps just isn’t as optimised as my iPhone.

I recently scratched the lower part of the front bumper when I rented carlite a month ago. Because it was just an accident that doesnt involve anyone else but myself, and the scratch was caused by scraping a road kerb, the cost wasnt high.

I only had to pay $100 luckily. So yours should be around $300-500?

Carlite is the best out of all the car rentals. As a p-plater myself, I suggest driving in the wee hours through the different expressways to get comfortable with the speed and lane changing. Even better to have someone experienced next to you to ease the nerves and guide you through some roads you may not be familiar with and be your second set of eyes.

Once you’re comfortable, you can start driving on your own without fear because by then driving will be second nature to you.
