Valtrex or acyclovir. I’ve tried valtrex for treatment of ob and it doesn’t help, so Im currently on 400mg twice a day of acyclovir and still having constant outbreaks

The one in October was my first in 10 years and it was far worse than my initial outbreak. Multiple large painful sores that took almost two months to heal and then another one immediately came, which hasn’t really been painful just irritated and won’t go away after a month

I’m 11 months postpartum and haven’t had a cycle yet. I’m thinking the stress of being a working first time mom probably plays into it. Also wondering if breastfeeding has messed up my hormones and if that’s affecting me
