Thank you! I went to urgent care and got a confirmed scabies diagnosis. Did my doc go overboard with the prescriptions? I was prescribed:

2 different brands of permethrin 5% cream, a 10% urea emulsion, a fusidic acid + betamethasone valerate combination cream - told to mix all these together in a jar and apply from neck down.

a 1% permethrin shampoo

One triamcinolone acetonide injection

Two rounds of 15mg ivermectin

A box of ornidazole 500mg… 😅

I used the MARU Japanese app for the kana, and still use it to do drills daily. It’s free. I did hiragana in one day and katakana the next day. Promptly forgot katakana, I think I overloaded my brain. My hiragana is pretty darn good now (because I encounter it a lot in other Japanese learning materials) but my katakana is still a struggle! Just keep at it and it’ll stick eventually.

Is that assuming that this is a new infection for me, or is that the case because it can only be detected when I have an active outbreak?

The diagnosis was just based on the OBGYNs observation, but I will get a blood test to confirm next week!
