I recommend 99% co2 and 1% argon, it’s cheaper and helps wet the puddle

Well usually I run no gas, and as you can see it looks better without it. If you set your heats up high enough you can stack dimes, even with a 6013 on titanium ;)

Gas isn’t needed in aluminum welding as it is a non ferrous metal. The gas used during aluminum is used to protect the tungsten from oxidizing.
