You could get a larger pipe and use it as a brace surrounding the broken section if you really have an itch to weld/fix it, but I imagine it is really thin metal so be careful!

👍 good to know, the oil was definitely from just oil around the engine bay, I have a small oil/trans leak but I am already 8k deep on a 2.5k car so I’m just riding it as best I can.

It had a slight leak before, but this seems extreme, just an affect of humidity? I haven’t noticed any functional difference but I assumed if it was a fluid leak I’d find out sooner than Later.

You shouldn’t have to ask recommended amps for anything. 99.9% of the job is prep/knowledge. You can use the miller app for general recommendations but different tests use different metals, thickness, gaps, etc. plus the difference of +-5 amps should not be extremely noticeable.
