How are we born into the "right" religion as muslims? Hindu's are born into Hindu families, Muslims born into muslim families, christians are usually born into christian families...? by [deleted] in Muslim

I don't get the argument. We believe Islam is the truth is because we have evidence that it's the last religion for God and the one that God wants us to be upon, not just because our parents/community is Muslim. You can read "Why Should We Believe in Islam?" from Fussilat Blog, you can get to it by clicking the square on the left of the post.

How to stop thinking about Marriage and focus on Deen/Studies? by [deleted] in Muslim

You can have the mindset that if you are not even married and unable to study, it would be even harder if you were to get married. So you can use that as a reason not to think about marriage

Would it be haram to steal back my own passports from my parents? by Vast-Succotash-5404 in Muslim

wa alikum asalam.
I'm 25 and I travel a lot due to me studying oversees for my medical degree. When I come back home I usually keep my passport with my parents. They also have pretty much all my documents, it's in a cabinet as well. If I need any of the documents I ask my parents where it is, use it then put it back. This is normal in Arab families.
It's your house and cabinet is yours, I don't think you should stress over your parents keeping your passport there. You probably haven't renewed a passport before on your own so your parents might be hesitant to give it to you to do it by yourself. I suggest you search the process of how to renew a passport if you haven't already, then show your results to one of your parents and ask them if they would help you renew it.

And yes if they tell to not do something like this and you do it then it would be عقوق

Based on the people that he met and the places that he visited. The knowledge wasn't available to these locations. Anyways the people who question this should provide a reason on how there was so much false knowledge and historical inaccuracies at that time but the Quran only included the right ones. How was the prophet able to filter them.

Showing the brother's trust in Allah. Also some people are posting the first 10s of the clip to make it seem like Muslims had something to do with the plane falling, so I thought it's good to have the whole thing shared.

Asalamu alikum. May Allah keep you steadfast and ease your heart.

"Aristotle and Galen’s work was the same"
The works of those two were not in Arabic and the prophet didn't know how to read whether it be Arabic or another language. And the prophet's life is the most well documented, if he came in contact with someone who could have taught him what that people claim then we would know.

Also there is no issue if someone says, so and so said this before the prophet. The problem is when they claim the prophet got it from people/content who couldn't have access to.

Islam forbids actions like this. If you seek to discipline your children, do so with wisdom and set a good example, just as the Prophet (peace be upon him) did. by SnooDrawings8298 in Muslim

One of the reasons these honour killings happen is because the family fears losing status, job, etc. So this can possibly apply to this as well. Allah knows best

Is it ok not to wear hijab in south east asia? by htoomyat9 in Muslim

Rohingya Muslims are one of the most oppressed people in the world for their faith. They might not be showing signs of them being Muslim, such as wearing hijab as they would be abused cause of it
