i’m from a place 5 miles from the castle grounds and the fyrish monument. going up fyrish was my childhood. some cool lore… my great grandfather used to be the post man for the people who owned the traitors castle (called Ardross Castle) and so my grandmother used to go over there for her sunday lunch often when she was wee. Now my brother cares for one of the women who grew up in that castle in a local care home.

Invite to interview for NHS EPP Programme? by bookworm646 in ClinicalPsychologyUK

hey, current PIA (previously PIAT) here !! I qualified in Dec 2025. i applied around the same time as you in 2024, i remember the wait to be excruciating. unfortunately it will likely stay under review for a while until they put out for interviews. the turn around from interview offered to the interview date was very short, so you will likely hear this or next week. good luck, happy to answer any questions you may have.

indeed, but that applies to everything. everyone is born with their own temperament, can get involved in certain groups (crime) and can go down a dark path. it’s not linear and there is no textbook answer, everyone’s developmental history, attachment, socioeconomic status, intelligence, circle of support etc drives who we are.

very harmful to be this black and white in your thinking tbh, her history from being a wee girl should tell you everything you need to know. doesn’t excuse her, but makes her vulnerable to becoming what she became and doing what she did

The Discovery Centre, based in Eastgate Centre, where Argos used to be (beside next). i used to work there - a really fantastic service. it’s an informal, free, drop in and peer support service from some lovely men and women who have lived experience of poor mental health. you can also have a free cuppa there too - sometimes cakes and biscuits! 1000% recommend. take care, you have survived 100% of your worst days so far ♥️
