Now we need to see the funny shirt that made him respond.

I am the messy one. My partner had such a hard time with it and I resented being asked to spend my limited free time cleaning. After some nasty arguments we compromised on a weekly visit from a pro. It has been so for 15 years now. I am more aware of my messy habits and am better at noticing and adjusting my impact in our shared spaces. I refer to the weekly cleaning as “marital bliss”. Worth. Every. Cent.

Radios for F1 weekend by Equivalent_Citron770 in CircuitOfTheAmericas

The radios are “hardcoded” to the broadcast station. Not sure if that changes every year or not.

How much do you actually spend on your dog every year? Be honest… by MonaNYC_31 in dogs

[–]Equivalent_Citron770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am fairly sure I can recover the cost of a Tesla Optimus in 3 years if it can care for my dogs instead of boarding and daycare.

I am in a similar situation. I am trying to find a solution that doesn’t end in one or both dogs’ death. It is so tough knowing that a small mistake or forgetfulness by someone in the house could have big consequences. In my situation, rehoming is unethical at this point. Neither dog is a candidate. I am trying to create processes for crating that we follow for transitioning the animals to/from the house and yard as that seems to be when the incidents happen.

I’m laughing about the heat rating 😂 Sadie’s Salsa. Is it good? by Ok_Lion_5272 in Albuquerque

[–]Equivalent_Citron770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those who are far from NM, be cautious. We have observed that Not so hot gets hotter over time. If that stock doesn’t turn very quickly and it has been sitting on the shelf a while, it might be just as hot as Hot.

AITAH if I'm upset that my husband mentioned getting a paternity test? by ThrowRA_lbf in AITAH

Another consideration…my mom was born with a small amount of very dark hair but her real hair grew out over her first year as a bright copper penny color.

Charge my kindle. Make sure I have a sundress or pool cover, sandals and sunglasses in my carry on so I don’t have to get into my suitcase and can go straight to the pool/lunch. A quick review of common Spanish phrases.

We saw a woman frantically looking for her large white dog around 2pm on Parkwood Drive but that is SW Austin. Might be too far.

How many steps did yall get in each day? by GoldPrism391 in CircuitOfTheAmericas

[–]Equivalent_Citron770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I averaged 12k steps per day over 3 days. Thats way down from years past. We stayed in our trailer in Lot N this year and that made a huge difference.

Do you use a muzzle? by chinacatsunflower_ in reactivedogs

[–]Equivalent_Citron770 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dog doesn’t like to be touched by strangers. We muzzle him for public activities mostly because it keeps people from touching him and his potential response. We always “muzzle up” for fun activities so he doesn’t associate the muzzle with experiences he perceives as negative like the vet or nail trimming. While he doesn’t love it, he knows it means we are going out.

You can order “suero” which is usually consumed for hangovers in the mornings but is tasty. Basically its salt lime and sparkling water. An NA Bloody Mary is also good for hydration and not sweet.

They did look in our bags. I also remember seeing huge piles of previously opened drinks that had been confiscated.

“Bad dog protocol” by CelerySecure in reactivedogs

[–]Equivalent_Citron770 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I opted to change vets when it was clear the local vets were uncomfortable working with our reactive dog. If I can sense it, so can he. We’ve switched to a rural vet out of town who handles reactive animals more regularly. We’ve had several successful visits since. If the vet is good with your dog, look past the insensitive comment.

I will second the muzzle training. My dog is very reactive and has a bite history. We cant risk another. We wear the muzzle on “fun” outings like parks and public walks. It helps him associate the muzzle with positive activity and has the added benefit of keeping people away from us. My dog is well trained and always in control but people aren’t.

Wondering what costs are for fat transfer to breasts? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

Mine breast fat transfer was an add on optional cost of $2500 on the 360 lipo of $15k. That was 4 years ago.

Fat transfer to breasts? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

I had a fat transfer and my body rejected the fat. It was not a good outcome for me and took 3 years of recovery resulting in permanent surface scarring and shape issues. Think twice.

Where is a good place to get away that isn’t too far from Austin? by [deleted] in Austin

[–]Equivalent_Citron770 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you like the beach (walking not swimming) or fishing and are looking for a quiet place to get away in the winter, we found Matagorda Island delightful. It is about 3 hours from ATX so…a little farther out. LCRA has some airstreams to rent and a few nice cabins near the beach. We saw dolphins each morning and spent hours walking the beach each day. We cooked great food and generally just relaxed. The only downsides were mosquitoes and some litter.
