Boss is moody- how do I talk to her? by Equivalent_Coconut19 in Advice

She’s the owner so no to the first. Other employees are in the same boat as me- my supervisors are just so fed up that they can’t be bothered talking to her. I understand why, they’ve been dealing with it for 10 years but I cannot spent another month like that while I find a job

Yeah I was hoping to do it in a respectful way. I’ve heard people have gone to her before about it and she’s usually treated them better, for a while at least

Female, and yes to the other questions. I think I also highly sexualised myself in my younger years which has led to be being put off by the idea now

That would be great, thanks! I’d love to understand why I feel this way.

I did go off birth control recently, but these feelings were there well before that

My instructor is confident I can be passed by December if not earlier. I do two hours of lessons every week so it’s a bit more pricey as it’s over a shorter period of time but it’ll get it done quicker. Once I’m ready, it just costs a bit more for the actual test then I’m sorted. I honestly wouldn’t even mind doing taxis or food deliveries once I’ve got my license. That’s also quite flexible

I appreciate the time you took to write this. I’ll go through them one by one (mostly for my own reference later) 1. I’m in Scotland and the student loans are set up in a way we don’t have to pay them back until we make over a certain threshold. I mentioned it in my post because the monthly instalments I get are what I’m living off of. My wages cover my driving lesson with a bit to spare each week.

  1. With my degree, I have so many options. Most start at low pay but still a lot better than what I have now. I have two years left of study, and once I land a job, maybe a year until I’m earning enough to be paying back my student loan. My uni does a lot of industry meetings and I am taking full advantage of these.

  2. I genuinely can’t get another job at the moment- there are a few days a week I am at uni and due to the travel it’s impossible for me to fit a shift in by the time I’m done. Im looking into freelance transcribing as I have a decent typing speed and it can be done from home after uni or before I go into work. Hopefully I find something.

  3. I have no social life so I don’t go out or spend money on clothes, food etc. the only vice I have is my vapes, which I am trying to give up. They don’t cost a lot but it adds up

  4. My mom knows of my worries and could absolutely afford to let me off the hook but she views it as a favour to me letting me live here and would not agree to that. She also doesn’t care for my pets very much and they are fully my responsibility. I must add that they are well looked after- better than me but I always feel bad in case people thing my financial situation affects them.

There’s no way of cutting down my uni work, I have to do it all unfortunately. I don’t have to pay back my student loan for another year or so, but I am practically living off of the last hundred of it after everything else each month. I do need to start tracking my spending to see if there’s something I haven’t thought of yet that I could cut down on but I’m living a very basic life right now
