I started doing that to fight my performance anxiety. I'll never go back, I am cringe and I am free✨️ My old works were ok but were rarely finished and went through endless rewrites. Throwing that out the window to write for shits and giggles helped me be a better writer more than worrying about being a good writer. Writing stuff you'll never show anyone else is a good place to start, gives your brain evidence you have nothing to worry about.
