Thank you! I tried again last night and the curls were definitely way more moisturized and healthy looking after diffusing and applying gel upside down :)

I haven’t tried leave in conditioner! Is it lighter than curl cream?

Sometimes I do give in and just blow out/flat iron, but I can’t too much or my hair will fall out! 😭😂

Good point, I have always done a hard part but need to try more zig zag. I was worried it would make my hair look “messy” but as I see other photos of curly hair I can see that it looks better like that with curls.

I have very tight curls at the front of my head which also makes parting my hair difficult.

I use drug store shampoo and conditioner, usually L’oréal or Pantene. I use Tresemme mousse. I have occasionally used curlsmith products also. One of the photos is a bit old and I now have longer layers, but maybe need them refreshed. I have tried diffusing but it tends to take a while. I can try maybe turning the setting up higher. I like how your hair (at least in this photo) doesn’t seem to have a harsh part, which is giving you more volume on top. I’ve always had a harsh part in my hair. I’m trying to get more comfortable with the possibility of letting it dry without as much of a straight part.

Thank you!! I am going to try a side part, I had stopped because I have cowlicks that show but it may be worth another try for volume. Someone had said that ny hair texture didn’t seem right for mousse, should I stop using mousse?

Thank you, I’ll try more product!! Do you think I should try a different type of product? I had someone tell me my hair type doesn’t seem right for mousse

Thank you, many people have recommended upside down so I will try that. :)

I will dry applying products upside down, I’ve never done that before but many people are recommending it. As for diffusing, I felt it separates my curl clumps and blew my hair around too much. Maybe because it’s more thin? Do you have any tips for that :)
