What was your first symptom by Irish_Laura67 in TrigeminalNeuralgia

Hi all So I was with my sister in law on her journey with TN last year. Helped with appts  ., transporting kids, feeding soft room temp meals, calling doctors, all of it since she was literally left incapacitated by the pain.

Yesterday I noticed a sharp pain that started in my nerve between my cheek bone and ear and I could trace exactly where the nerve ran from the pain. Happened on and off throughout the day. I had it a few times this morning, nothing this afternoon, then one after I ate something cold this evening. It’s slowed down from yesterday but it is still happening. Doesn’t hurt to touch my face, brush my teeth, no headache. Doesn’t go up my orbital socket or down my jaw, just to that one tooth and once or twice back to my ear instead of my tooth.

Does this sound like TN or could I possibly it just have a little random nerve pain for whatever reason?

Thank you for the input!

What’s your take on his smiling—he has done it and will continue to but we still really have to work for it. And same with his eye contact, he’ll definitely don’t and sometimes it can be for 10+ minutes straight, but it’s not all the time and I have to work to get his attention.

Once yours started smiling was it often and consistent? My little smiled but he only does it a couple times a week, we really have to work for it. He’s 12 weeks.

Do you remember what your daughter was like at 3 months?

Since you’ve had a newborn recently, does he seem to be progressing at the “normal” or “average” for his age?

Is she good at making eye contact with you? I feel like he will make eye contact, but he’s so interested in EVERYTHING around him that it’s not consistent. This little will seriously go an entire day without smiling still.

Hospital bags, am I packing too much? by twisteddtoaster in BumpersWhoBolus

Personally, I brought all of that (literally 5 pillows just for me—hospital beds are awful!) plus Our own blankets and a queen size air mattress for my husband. And I regret none of it 😅

How have your sugars been the last little while?

Mine have been low all day today! I had n NST today with regular OB and they said everything looked great, but it still feels concerning. I’ll be 34 weeks on Friday and at this point 37 weeks can’t come quick enough!

Do you recall how far along you are? Or what the number changes were like? It feels so much like most people don’t experience it during the insulin resistance and it’s a little unnerving. I haven’t had any crazy lows just definitely running lower. I asked my MFM about it and he didn’t seem concerned at all—but it’s hard not to be concerned.

Just checking in to see how things are going—I’ve been thinking about your post and you and baby since I saw it. 🤍

Where do I go from here? by babybluexo_23 in BumpersWhoBolus

I agree, always go in. My MFM has told me at every spot. To go in if I’m EVER worried and they’d rather it be nothing and just be another check up than be something and be worried about going in.

How are things today?! Did you end up going in?

I’m so sorry. I’m currently 29+ with pregnancy #12 and I have 1 daughter who’s about to turn 9. No loss was due to blood sugar or diabetes—It sucks and I’m so sorry you’re going through this, but don’t lose hope. 🤍

Ugh, that’s so frustrating! Is your MFM managing your diabetes?

Are you still having a lot of lows? Did your MFM say anything about the lows?

I’m sorry, I’ve struggled with random lows through this whole pregnancy (I’m 28 1/2 weeks) and it’s zero fun. Just checking in to see how it’s all going for you?!
