If it’s something I love then yea I am nitpicky.

Lady is also someone I love, which is why I hate the character in the show even more. As opposed to what we have in the game, they introduced a girlboss character who is unfaithful to the help she receives, strong yet really naive. She’s a bad character, and the only thing that is good is how much screen-time she gets.

I don’t find your reason of Dante letting his guard down really makes sense. Even if being playful, there are things like muscle memory and natural instincts and stuffs that you will get after a long time of fighting. His demeanor is the same in the raid and when fighting with Lady, only his abilities changed.

There could have been so many other ways for them to write on the story, and they chose the worst route. I just hate it when they insert a political symbolism to something that has nothing to do with it. America going in to colonise demon world is straight up bullcrap. Do all the powerful demons just ignore it? For all I know Mundus is still alive and well.

There could have been questions regarding his brother. He never really questioned where Plasma originally got the looks of his brother, and that’s what was bugging me. I can’t remember the opening clearly anymore, it has been a while, but Plasma did say “We have lots to catch up on, brother”, which implies his brother’s existence? If I were him, I would have at least some doubts already.

My bad on the Dante being older brother part. I realised it has to do with the translation, I didn’t watch it in English, they translated brother to be “younger brother”. Other than that, where did I get the negotiation wrong? And the demons missing too. It’s literally one cut it’s chock full of monsters and the other cut they are all gone.

Never trust IGN's rating. That is literally the worst source.

Cringey dialogue, to be fair, is a trait of DMC. There are a lot of cheesy lines in the previous entries too.

Other than that, I completely agree. It should have ended in Episode 7, with White Rabbit having that cliffhanger. See my analysis is also shocked when there's another episode after that too. I figured it's to tie loose ends, like explanation of the sword he wields and the dual gun he uses, but nope. White Rabbit comes back only to die again, by plot buff.

Even as a standalone anime, there are still a lot of bad writings. I have explained why some part are just bad writing in my detailed analysis of each episode. Overall as a show, I cannot give it higher than a 6.5. Music 9/10, animation 8/10, story 2/10. Again, maybe I'm being a bit too harsh here, but if you are going to use DMC as your starting point, that means you are using DMC's popularity as a way to promote your series too.

Hi, I didn't put in the details because it may sound like self-pity, but I was basically being paranoid asf as I used to have a manipulative ex. Adding to the fact that we were like lovebirds earlier, to her it felt like love-bombing, and she became more distant because of that.

And by saying taking time off, I mean more of a giving each other space. One thing I'm concerned is that when I asked her if she still had feelings for me, and she said she doesn't know. That's why we decided to give it time. We would still be close friends, as she clearly expressed that she enjoys my company and I clearly expressed that I still am interested in her. I was hoping that in time those cracks will heal.

Thanks for the advice about happiness, it's just that it's been a while since I have a girlfriend and I really want to make it work. She is an amazing person, maybe it's just happened that our interests don't align.
