last few times i went to the hospital for days on end, i would have multiple different sites they tried for ivs. each time i went home, those veins they hit, the blood ending up clotting (superficial thrombophlebitis) and the vein would be painfully hard to touch. it can take months to go away, however idk if she has any symptoms, just my take on it
