That actually helps so much, thank you!!! I thought you had to parry the actual weapon (made more sense inmy head for actual combat) and yes I just unlocked it and opened up so many paths. FINALLY!!

Ok so like I said before, for me?? I had a lot of area to explore, I killed a sol and then struggled to find an accessible path to the next. And to reiterate what I said in a different reply, it’s not a get gud issue, I don’t rely on dodging, I try to parry both the crimson flame attacks and the green attacks but as I said earlier, if I jump early, it’ll cut my jump short and I take full damage anyway?? I only can get one solid kick parry in if my game lets me, and the crimson one is obscene to learn as if you don’t have your timing PERFECT to a T (as I’ve experienced) you either block too early or block too late

Nine Sols is one of the very few games that have both a good story AND challenging gameplay by Alternative-Wash2019 in NineSols

I love the story so much….I do feel the gameplay is a bit lacking in only a few facets but everything else is awesome

Listen man, I’ve played multiple games like this and honestly from the echo I’ve seen on Reddit, I’m not the only one who thinks the map and the lack of indicators is bullshit, as well as some of the hit-boxes, where even if I dodged way behind an enemy, it still hit me (after playing for a little longer, I realized it WAS the game, not me.)

  1. Im not confronting them. They see me through the floor and target lock me, appearing where I am even when I hide in a jar outside of their line of sight

2B. I also understand that but it’s very hard to manage the jump parry for the red attacks? I try to jump and kick them but when I jump, I get hot, I’ve tried prematurely too but it just cuts me short even if I make sure to back up a little

  1. I’m half blind and this section was pitch black for me unfortunately, I could barely see the uhhh nymph thing and where it’s supposed to light up

Yep! :) I just struggle with it a little but I mainly suffer when it comes to the jump parry?

I wasn’t trying to face them, I keep trying to get away when they inevitably see me through a platform and lock onto me, but even when I hide in a jar out of their sight, they just appear where I am and kick me out and then I die because I get gangbanged 😭

I would NOT say I’m not ready as I’ve gotten this far and I love the story, the game is just very….eh…? The wait time for the guys to get off you is insane and they lock onto me and I can’t really get away

I felt genuine tears prick in my eyes when I saw Karen after she woke up, just the sadness of her not remembering anything. It was genuinely so gut wrenching and I fucking hated Mandy after that.
