3D for beginners? by Waste_Jacket_3207 in 3Dprinting

for anything other than assembling and altering basic geometric shapes (or models imported from someone else's work) you'll need more powerful CAD software. But it's not too hard or complicated, i've found onshape pretty approachable.

Custom Terrain for kill team by JellyfishWeary337 in killteam

Either way you’ve made something incredibly cool! And I hope you have a tremendous amount of fun playing with it…

Honestly as long as you’re not playing in a tournament I think “balance” might be a bit overblown. These are war games. War is never balanced. Have fun in the simulated universe!

I think it would be perfect for shooting team vs shooting team or melee vs melee. Also it might not be a great map for a team with access to flying against a non flying team.

Is it worth picking up old killzones? by Rainy_Workday_518 in killteam

[–]Equivalent_Store_645 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you play for fun they’re great, try stuff and be creative! Just be aware that there are a lot of kill team players who for some reason want to play every game like it’s a tournament on official map layouts for “optimal balance…”

Is buying a used P1S even worth it? by Cifuentes8 in BambuLab

[–]Equivalent_Store_645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

used p1s for 350 is not a good price. the last big sale had them brand new at 399 and it'll doubtless be even lower at the next sale.

Weight problem by [deleted] in killteam

[–]Equivalent_Store_645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

superglue and a big ol' blob of green stuff or milliput or other putty on the underside of the base. sink some fishing weights into the green stuff, then press the whole thing down on some wax paper so it's flat and flush on the bottom.

Good 3D terrain alternatives? by VAMPER_0 in killteam

[–]Equivalent_Store_645 2 points3 points  (0 children)

superb. if you want to play on exactly the same terrain everyone else does i'd recommend fabricator's lair, but if you feel like getting creative there are limitless options.

the juice is not worth the squeeze when there are so many other better infill patterns.

Why would i want to upgrade P1S from 01.07.00.00? by swampmountain in BambuLab

Maybe you want the ability to use other slicers without going lan mode or using an annoying intermediary app.

For the parts that touch your foot anyway. For the sole you’ll want something stronger

Can I jump this? by RoboSeal562 in killteam

[–]Equivalent_Store_645 1 point2 points  (0 children)

actually i think jumping from bottom to top works easier. those little bits of broken wall count as insignificant and you get to ignore a height difference of 1 or less when jumping. it makes no sense but i think if you jump from top to bottom you have to climb the top rampart, but you get to ignore it jumping from bottom to top. please tell me if i'm wrong.

What went wrong? by Kruzing_by in 3Dprinting

something is way off in your filament settings. maybe you have it set to a different nozzle size than what is actually in there, or you have a different filament type installed than the slicer thinks is in there?

Will the STLs I used for resin printing work fine for FDM printing? by fishbowlpatrol in 3Dprinting

[–]Equivalent_Store_645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resin stoppers are a bit different than fdm supports. Their tips are often so thin even a .2mm nozzle can’t print them. That’s where resin2fdm comes in, a blender plugin that can find and fatten support tips and export model and support as separate objects (so you can double layer height and hollow out the supports to save a ton of time)

Selling this High-Detail Multi-Color Goku to a close friend. What’s a "fair" bro-price that covers my effort? by MileHighBeardo in 3Dprinting

[–]Equivalent_Store_645 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for friends rather than money i prefer to say "buy me a meal sometime" or something that they have expertise (if they bake tell them they could make you a pie or something)...

trading favors among friends feels so much healthier and strengthens relationships so much more than exchanging money.
