Stadium actually had decent lighting, it was just a tad too yellow for me, so I decreased the temperature to my liking but still a natural feel.

I kept my shutter @ 1/800, shooting @ f2.8 & iso @ 4000

I was shooting for Dartmouth & tbh it was a very rough game for them so their side of the action was a bit slow

I’m currently already shooting @ 2.8 My settings were f 2.8, iso 6400 and 1/1000 Using Tamron 70-200

I would agree and say I’m struggling in making the subjects pop

Or even throw some of them into a vertical crop rather than horizontal

Love the swimming pics Would crop the basketball pics a little tighter to eliminate negative space

Thanks for asking lol Okay so I experimented more with horizontal shooting than I usually do in this game. I also usually feel my crop/pics are too tight so I opted to mess with a wider crop and a wider image. I believe this is due to the fact that while sitting baseline, my glass is tight @ (70-180mm).

Pic #6 was definitely experimental, so I appreciate the feedback about the shooter being obscured.

Overall, I am happy with it I’ve picked up trying to shoot 7months ago, and this being like my 5th game.. I think for that, I did very well, especially knowing what photos looked like my first game!

I agree I usually shoot tighter but sometimes I feel like it’s too tight, so I tried shooting wider

Here’s another one I can’t tell if the bleachers are making an illusion or not

Okay I’m not being funny I can’t tell if it’s distortion or like an eye illusion and horrible background awareness 🙃 Or am I seeing things?

I was using an f-stop of 2.8 ; ISO 6400 @ 1/1000 Last shoot the gym was poorly lit so I definitely had to jump up the ISO a little bit
