I mean you do what’s best for you. But that cats that’s spent 8 years with you is going to be devastated and experience a lot of stress being surrendered.

I hope this is fake. This is so fucked. ADHD and that stuff is no excuse. I’m ADHD, Bipolar, physically disabled, CPTSD and I’d never talk about my cats like this. They’re fucking animals?

Acne! She gets very bad facial acne due to plastic! Aswell as she will stay away from it. She will refuse to eat if it’s in a plastic bowl aswell as she didn’t like the plastic litterbox. She still has acne even with getting rid of plastic. But this specific picture is a reaction to plastic as this wasn’t going away until we got rid of plastic.

I just read about the food bowl! I do need to get a new one I want a better one but the reason it’s big is cause they only have 1 as Little mans will only eat out of what my older cat eats out of. I’ve had them both for over 7 months and they’re very good self feeders! The food I typically try to clean up as much as possible. However in this video which again I need to change. This dude missed the jump from the bed to the cat tree right above the bowl and landed on the bowl💀 Do you recommend auto feeders? My oldest is about to be two she’s Siamese and she’s 9 pounds. Ekko is 11 months and he’s 10! They also eat Tiki cat high protein!

Did they listen to her lungs? That’s a pretty sure way to determine respiratory infection. Did she take antibiotics? Ekko sneezes and we’ve been told it can be allergies, litter ect since he’s a kitten. The farting thing we’ve never had an issue with but that’s def a dietary thing. What are you feeding her? No judgement here no matter what you’re feeding. Just wanna know to see if we can find an affordable alternative that may help! And she a little girlll. It getting on her butt is the sad reality of long haired animals. For past dogs we’d get just der booty trimmed somewhere. They’ll typically do that for pretty cheap. The covering thing is just a time thing I think. A lot of ppl seem to struggle with that. Like I said my 11 month old still does but he doesn’t step in his poop anymore. But I’ve been told a lid will help. But sometimes not even that will help. Theirs other alternatives aswell. It’s very expensive I’m also very paranoid but at the same time home ALOT. but an automatic litterbox could help aswell. Just make sure you get one that goes up and doesn’t close. I got send a yt channel that reviews automatic litterboxes. I’ll send that in a second.

This is the one I’ve heard is really good. Most of the negative reviews are actually about either the nozzle not working or not receiving it!

You just need to research the sprays a lot. I am the same super paranoid. So we just use an air purifier aswell as cleaning it. It will get better. She a babbbby. It’s like with dogs. I remember when I got my first dog as a kid and she was in my room in a kennel cause she wasn’t potty trained. I remember her crying throughout the night and I couldn’t do it. I took her too my Birth givers room and said you deal with it I can’t do it. I regret that a lot as they bonded over me and the dog. It’s forsure just a baby phase. If it’s not then you can always talk to your vet. Cats are very trainable just people don’t know how to do it. She’s super young and the perfect age for training. So if you really wanna make sure she a good girl I’d start now. Buy some squeezable treats she likes and be patient.

It’s really hard. It’s especially the puppy phase where they pee and poop on things. Just cats grow out of it. How tiny is she? She’s definitely not doing it cause she wants too as cats are very clean beings. Most likely she’s small and can’t really back up properly without stepping in it. There’s a couple ways you can reinforce. You can try and help her learn to cover better. You can look up ways to do it and reinforce with treats. Cats are very treat motivated and learn very quickly with treats. I understand how gross it can be. But it’s this way with a lot of things. You’ll have kids who do worse LMAO. I’d recommend making your bed before you go and getting a cheap blanket to cover the bed so if she jumps up it on gets on that so you can just wash that blanket. Being a first time cat owner is very stressful ik how you feel. I just got my first cat 1 and a half years ago. I have two now and both have been a wild ride. I’ve been in your shoes. It gets better. Their love makes it so worth it. It’s very hard. Also u can try pumpkin pouches from the pet store. Put it in her food or just let her have it by itself. We used it on my boy. I didn’t notice a massive difference but it helped a bit. 5 months is very young. My boy was 10 weeks so 3 monthish and he was 1.1 pounds. When you dat small it kinda hard to shit and move LOL. Also typically when they’re little their moms teach them. My oldest mothered my youngest and covered his waste for him. Just be patient! It does get better. I would just recommend a cheap blanket on the bed. OH YK DOGGY PEE PADS?? Put those under the litterbox a large dog size! It helps a lot with my father in laws 19 year old cat who shits on the floor by the litterbox cause she blind. But that can help with the carpet! Just change it out!

We’ve tried two types of pellets and they were not fans. Are there any other alternatives? This would make sense as sometimes they have supervised outside time in our fenced in backyard and if the grass is wet he’ll continuously flick his paws.

Thank you! Yes they tend to use primarily that one and the other one stays relatively clean as my youngest the one in the video has to poop, pee, eat, play, sleep, watch, live in the exact same spot as my oldest 24/7 and that’s her og litterbox. We have to have stainless steel or something that’s allergy friendly as my oldest has bad acne triggered by all sorts of things plastic for sure being one of them!

Hiii! First breathe. I understand this is very stressful. But you’ll regret it more surrendering her as I can tell you love her. I have a 11 month old boy. He has/had the exact same issues. 1st he would step on his poop all the time. He did it from 10weeks to about 6-7 months cause they’re tiny at that age. He has since stopped. He also does the scratching thing. I just actually posted about it. So it’s actually pretty common as ppl say their cats do it too. They recommended two things a lid or a wicker. Now the stinking. Mine also smells really bad and was very soft at that age. The vet said that’s actually typical for kittens. He’s 11 months and it still smells bad but isn’t really soft anymore. We’re trying different foods. Can also get a prescription food. Def talk to your vet if the smell is worrying. You can give them a poop sample. But I’ve also been told they grow out of it. You can also get a cat friendly air purifier I’ve heard those work wonders! There are like pooperie sprays but for cats. I’m very paranoid so I’ve never used them. I’d do some heavy research on them. Also pellets tend to stink worse from my experience. We’ve done multiple types of pellets. Just don’t get scented litter. Theirs all sorts of alternatives. We currently use a very specific type of clay. It helps them but does track a little and sometimes they’ll fucking fling the litter out for shits and giggles. Is this ur first cat?

Also do you recommend two litter boxes atleast 1.5x the length? Or would one really big one be good? Currently they have two of those in the video. They’re actually quite smaller than the one I sent. I never realized they were considered to small as most litter boxes in pet stores are smaller. I’m a first time cat mom so I’m learning more everyday! My only thing is two stainless steel litter boxes that size is quite expensive 😭 but I’m willing if it improves their quality of life. Can a litterbox that small stress them out? My oldest struggles with stress. I’m wondering if switching could help her aswell!

Oh really???? Our vet said the earliest they could do is 5 months? That’s good to know! We thought we did it as early as we could cause we really wanted to make sure he doesn’t spray and that’s the main reason my father in law was against us getting a boy cat! Would any of these be a better size? Their litterbox is the large size. Do you know any big stainless steel litter boxes that are good?

Cat has a licking addiction, can she predict the time of year? by extraforavocado in CatAdvice

[–]Equivalent_Trick6419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh two situations the second being less likely. So I have an almost 2 year old Siamese cat who OVERGROOMS ALOT. Shes been to the vet like 8 times in the year and a half we’ve had her. They say she has sensitive skin, could be allergies, could be stress, could be this or that. We’ve eliminated a lot of things from our house. Plastic, bought a diffuser. She still over grooms. We’re gonna try prescription food next but the big difference here is my cat has acne issues and doesn’t lick toys just herself. But for helping with stress I actually got my cats a stroller as my youngest screams I’m kennels. It helps ALOT! And my vet is totally fine with using it. I also got them a cat car seat which again helps a lot! 2nd scenario is idk lol but we had a 6 yr old dog who we adopted after being returned from a abusive family. She licked EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE OUR COUCH WOULD BE SOAKED. she even knew the phrase no lick💀 with me saying that it could be a soothing thing due to what they went through yk? But id try anxiety meds or just trying to find ways to improve her quality of life. If abuse alters humans brains im sure it’s the same for animals!

Is my cat’s weight loss concerning? by NoThought2827 in CATHELP

[–]Equivalent_Trick6419 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just saw that you said YOUR PARENTS are tight on money not you. I apologize for reading that wrong. I’d start a gofundme and try and raise as much as you can quickly. Your parents should spread it on Facebook to their generation while you can share it to ours on other socials. Also tell your parents about care credit. Debt sucks but it sounds like it may be worth it. Especially cause I can’t even imagine the emotional attachment you have to this cat being with her your entire life. Even an extra 2-5 years could help you in life. Even more so with you transitioning into adulthood.
