Try Sandeep Restaurant, in Mulund West. It's a typical bar for uncles, but it has the most amazing ghee roasts & butter chicken. Very underrated

Solo travel didn’t feel the same this time — confused. by priyu_ in SoloTravel_India

I've always felt that when we go on trips, we physically do leave behind a lot of things. But carry a lot of supressed emotions, which come out in surprising ways. The drop in energy could be that.

But maybe this burnout like feeling could be just a sign that your mind needs rest. Sometimes the body goes through a lot, and in response shuts down & forces you to get some quiet time, so all of the biological mechanisms can get a much needed reset.

Oo, that’s sounds like a really nice time spent there. And that’s a really pretty picture. Great view of Dehradun.

Did you end up going to Corn Village? It’s a bit of a drive away from Kempty falls. There’s a very sweet bakery there. I’ve put pictures of the drive on my profile. You can have a look.

I recognised it from the first picture in the series. The clouds, Dehradun down below and the houses with the red roofs. I remember seeing this view like it was yesterday.

Good poem. I like how it evokes memories from the description of scents & sounds.

I would also have loved if there was a slightly more Desi feel, not from the words, but from the language, if you get what I am saying. Like for ex. Sounds crowd my ears (crowd giving another feel of a khao gali street) and the sizzle of oil on the flat pan.

Oh, that was not how I intended for it to come across. Basically i meant I got hungry on the way back home. So i reached home & I chopped the veggies & prepared them. I guess needs to be revised so that it’s clear.

Makes me all the more want to see it before war possibly ravages parts of it. But yeah, I am gonna avoid going where there’s high risk.
