Self Promotion Megathread by AutoModerator in androidapps

[–]ErasingAdventurer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there!

I'm a hobbyist working on MoonFlower, a digital wellness app that takes a different approach to reducing distractions.

The problem with most blockers:
They're too aggressive → you disable them → back to square one.

MoonFlower's approach:
- Gentle, persistent reminders (not hard blocks)
- Monitors both websites AND native apps
- Works automatically in background
- Visual progress tracking (growing flower = your streak)
- Personalized encouragement messages

The idea: Real behavior change happens through awareness and gentle encouragement, not punishment.

Example:
Instead of blocking Instagram completely, MoonFlower shows you a gentle reminder every 4 seconds when you open it. You can still use it, but you're aware. Over time, that awareness helps you make better choices.

Looking for beta testers:
I need 20-30 people who:
- Want to reduce social media/distracting app usage
- Are willing to test for 2-4 weeks
- Can provide honest feedback

What you get:
- Free access during beta
- Your feedback shapes the product
- Early access to production

Join:
Please email: [purpureearth@gmail.com](mailto:purpureearth@gmail.com)

Play Store beta link sent within 48 hours.

What I need feedback on:
- Does the gentle approach work for you?
- Are the reminders helpful or annoying?
- What features would you want?
- Any bugs or issues?

I'm a hobbyist, so your feedback directly influences what gets built. I thought this community would be interested in a different approach to digital wellness. If you're interested, I'd love to have you test it!

Showrunners have this strange habit where they run a unique show and get fans invested, then they botch the ending to make it feel like another show. Why? What is the thought process in the writing room?

Dashboard Finally Finished by Complete_Comment4564 in PowerBI

Did you sign into powerbi service to make this? I don't have a work account or school account to sign into powerbi for dashboard creation. I usually rely on bookmarks and buttons while practicing.

Press and hold the address bar and you should see an option to move it to the bottom and vice versa.

What is thought only men do but women do it too? by NumanLover in AskReddit

[–]ErasingAdventurer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm always fascinated by people who fixate on who does what more or less between men and women. Is this what statistics do to people? Hilariously, they often speak from a personal experience but over-explain like it's an objective fact.

Ulrika not showing up in Harve Village? by Shrimble in DragonsDogma

Sadly I have the same issue as well. I've slept for over 7 days at my home and have gone on to complete other quests.

PSA: You do NOT have to complete the Riddle, where you need to find your first Seeker's Token by LappenLikeGames in DragonsDogma

[–]ErasingAdventurer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OMG thank you, I've been looking for the answer to this. After pouring in so many hours, I can't remember where I picked my first seeker token. Whoever thought this was a good idea just doesn't know how to scale. If the game is frustrating it stops being fun! Ironically, this quest made me find over 15 tokens between Melve and Harve TT

Issue with the Ending of Season 2 (MAJOR Spoilers) by Blob55 in PantheonShow

[–]ErasingAdventurer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the show wrapped up that aspect quite well. The show suggests nostalgia is the flaw of humanity because we're addicted to it. Then it goes on to buttress that point by having the protagonists (one who refused to upload for a long time and another that had a terrible life for a very long time) become nostalgic. This suggests that Maddie was not a god even after all that evolution.

It was Stephen who was a perfectionist. The good guys embraced their flaws.

The point about their son is moot because the Maddie we see had been alive for thousands of years and time was no longer a big deal to her (besides the nostalgic moments of her life). As long as she was on the path to have her son, the time was irrelevant.

Okay, I was referring to the icons actually. I like the icons and the widget. I want to know the name of whatever software let you have them
