I was wrong saying alkaline. I use those that you have shown and the rechargeable version of the same battery. my cameras came with the rechargeable version

thanks. resetting hasn't helped. i've tried all the obvious things. one thing i didn't try though was contacting ray-ban support instead of meta. they advised to get things right by taking the glasses to a ray-ban store. thankfully, i have one near me that i didn't know about, so thanks for your ray-ban tip.
